摘要： A technology for controlling the generation of damages of a photoconductive surface caused due to the attachment of a carrier to a photoconductor in an image forming apparatus using a two-component developing agent is provided. An image forming apparatus is configured to include an intermediate transfer body having prescribed elasticity on a transfer surface onto which a toner image is transferred; plural image carriers which transfer a toner image onto the transfer surface and which are disposed along a movement direction of the transfer surface of the intermediate transfer body; plural development sections which form toner images having a different color from each other with respect to the plural image carriers by using a two-component developing agent made of a toner and a carrier; and developing agent replenishment sections which replenish a toner and a carrier in the development sections.

An image forming apparatus is for performing an image forming processing by plural image forming units to form toner images of colors different from each other on a transfer-receiving member moved in a specified direction, and includes a toner collecting unit to collect toners remaining on the transfer-receiving member, a ratio judgment unit to judge a mixing ratio of toners of plural colors included in the toners collected by the toner collecting unit, and a toner replenishing unit to replenish an insufficient color toner to the toners collected by the toner collecting unit based on the mixing ratio judged by the ratio judgment unit so that the mixing ratio becomes a specified ratio.

摘要： A color image forming apparatus includes an intermediate transfer member, a first forming portion having a first transfer unit, a second forming portion provided downstream from the first forming portion, a third forming portion provided downstream from the second forming portion, a fourth forming portion provided downstream from the third forming portion, and a control portion. The control portion controls a bias of at least one of the corresponding developing unit and the corresponding transfer unit, when transfer of the toner image from the intermediate transfer member to the recording medium is completed, so that a toner-image residue toner material resting on the intermediate transfer member is returned to the corresponding developing unit through the image bearing member of at least one of the first to fourth forming portions.

摘要： A color image forming apparatus includes an intermediate transfer member, a first forming portion having a first transfer unit, a second forming portion provided downstream from the first forming portion, a third forming portion provided downstream from the second forming portion, a fourth forming portion provided downstream from the third forming portion, and a control portion. The control portion controls a bias of at least one of the corresponding developing unit and the corresponding transfer unit, when transfer of the toner image from the intermediate transfer member to the recording medium is completed, so that a toner-image residue toner material resting on the intermediate transfer member is returned to the corresponding developing unit through the image bearing member of at least one of the first to fourth forming portions.

摘要： In an image forming apparatus adopting a cleanerless process, there is provided a technique of preventing deterioration of picture quality due to photoreceptor filming or color mixture. An image forming apparatus of a cleanerless process in which a toner image is formed on an image bearing body by a developing unit, and a toner remaining on the image bearing body is collected by the developing unit, includes an intermediate transfer belt made of laminated layers of plural conductive materials different from each other and having a belt surface onto which the toner image is transferred from the image bearing body at a specified transfer position, and a transfer unit configured to press the intermediate transfer belt to the image bearing body at the specified transfer position and to apply a specified bias voltage to the intermediate transfer belt, wherein with respect to the plural conductive materials of the intermediate transfer belt, a layer closer to a side of either one of the toner transferred from the image bearing body and the transfer unit, where negative polarity is set, has a higher volume resistance value.
