摘要： A sealing process for producing clean, contamination-free seals. The process includes the step of incorporating a small amount of polar liquid within the material to be sealed between heat-sealable layers. An alternating electromagnetic energy field, such as that produced by a dielectric heating device, is applied to the seal area. The energy vaporizes the polar liquid, thereby cleaning the seal area. Subsequently, the energy causes the resinous layers to seal together, sealing the material within the package. A preferred composition for sealing within the resinous package is also disclosed. The material includes a polar liquid, a surfactant, wax, oil and microbeads. The material is especially suited for producing padding devices.

摘要： A nonretractable covering for architectural openings such as doors, windows, archways, or the like includes a covering fabric like material having pivotal vanes with the fabric like material being extended between upper and lower tilt bars with one of the upper lower tilt bars being an active tilt bar and the other a passive tilt bar which moves in response to the active tilt bar. Movement of the active tilt bar between opened and closed positions pivots the vanes between opened and closed positions while the fabric material remains extended across the architectural opening.

摘要： A system for assuring removal of a cord from its wrapping in an external thread of a spool utilizes a follower having an internal thread that moves along the spool upon rotation of the spool with the follower having a slot through which the cord is passed and a catch on the internal surface of the follower adjacent to the slot in the follower that projects into the external thread of the spool to force a removal of the cord from the thread. Preferably, the catch comprises one end of the internal thread in the follower which by its very nature projects into the external thread of the spool for engagement with a cord received in the external thread.

A flexible diaphragm (20) having at least one orifice (24) extends across the passageway (18). The diaphragm (20) flexes between open and closed positions responsive to flow conditions in the passageway (18). In the open position, the orifice (24) is exposed, allowing fluid flow. In the closed position, the orifice (24) is sealed by the first sheet (12), substantially preventing fluid flow.
