摘要: Ways of preparing a partially crystalline polycarbonate powder are provided that include dissolving an amorphous polycarbonate in a polar aprotic solvent to form a first solution of solubilized polycarbonate at a first temperature. The first solution is then cooled to a second temperature, the second temperature being lower than the first temperature, where a portion of the solubilized polycarbonate precipitates from the first solution to form a second solution including the partially crystalline polycarbonate powder. Certain partially crystalline polycarbonate powders resulting from such methods are particularly useful in additive manufacturing processes, including powder bed fusion processes.

摘要: A method for preparing granular polycarbonate particles is disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a method for preparing granulated polycarbonate particles includes mixing a polymerization reaction solution comprising polycarbonate and an organic solvent, and an anti-solvent solution comprising water and an anti-solvent to prepare a mixed solution, heating the mixed solution to remove the organic solvent, and drying or filtering the mixed solution to obtain granular polycarbonate particles. The granular polycarbonate particles having excellent physical properties without using a stabilizer or a surfactant can be obtain.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a biopolymer chemically modified with a functional group selected from a carbon-carbon double bond, a carbon-carbon triple bond and a nitrogen-nitrogen triple bond, wherein following chemical modification in an aqueous solution, the biopolymer is precipitated in an organic solvent, filtered and dried, and the organic solvent is recovered by distillation. A biopolymer chemically modified with a functional group selected from a carbon-carbon double bond, a carbon-carbon triple bond and a nitrogen-nitrogen triple bond obtained by said manufacturing process, and a hydrogel thereof are also provided.

The workpiece processing method comprising applying a low surface energy solution on a surface of the workpiece, the low surface energy solution includes a carrier solvent and a filler material dissolved in the carrier solvent; allowing the low surface energy solution to impregnate into a channel in the workpiece; removing the solvent from the low surface energy solution to remain the filler material in the channel to hermetically seal the channel.

摘要: A continuous process for producing a polyurea concentrate or powder. The process includes combing at least one amine and an isocayante in the presence of a liquid diluent or a base oil in a rotor stator mixer. The concentrate comprises a polyurea in a base oil wherein the concentration of from about 20 weight percent to about 50, or 40 or 35 or 30 weight percent of polyurea based on total weight of grease thickener. The powder has particle size of 2 to 400 microns. This concentrate or powder can then be formulated by grease manufacturers to the desired final properties without the need for handling of the isocyanate and amine raw materials.

The cell comprises a cell wall possessing an average thickness of less than 100 nm and a morphology evolved from a template. The composite comprises an interior space having a morphology evolved from the template with a diameter between 10 nm and 1,000 nm, and one of a linear structure, a non-linear structure, and an infiltrated endomorph. The endomorph substantially fills the interior space of the perimorph.
