摘要: The high current capabilities of a lateral npn transistor for application as a protection device against degradation due to electrostatic discharge (ESD) events are improved by adjusting the electrical resistivity of the material through which the collector current flows from the avalanching pn-junction to the wafer backside contact. As expressed in terms of the second threshold current improvements by a factor of 4 are reported. Two implant sequences are described which apply local masking and standard implant conditions to achieve the improvements without adding to the total number of process steps. The principle of p-well engineering is extended to ESD protection devices employing SCR-type devices.

摘要: A system for exchanging information content between a back-end system within a restricted access environment and an end-user includes a front-end system and a manager node outside of the restricted environment, and an access node within the restricted environment. The front-end system executes a mini-application to output query data. The manager node receives the query data and applies business logic and connection parameters to generate a request for the information content in a first format. The manager node communicates the request to the access node in the first format. The access node converts the request to a second format particular to the back-end system, and conveys the request to the back-end system. Responses containing the information content are received at the access node from the back-end system. The access node converts the responses to the first format and sends information content contained in the responses to the front-end system via the manager node.

摘要: Technologies for monitoring system API calls include a computing device with hardware virtualization support. The computing device establishes a default memory view and a security memory view to define physical memory maps and permissions. The computing device executes an application in the default memory view and executes a default inline hook in response to a call to an API function. The default inline hook switches to the security memory view using hardware support without causing a virtual machine exit. The security inline hook calls a security callback function to validate the API function call in the security memory view. Hook-skipping attacks may be prevented by padding the default inline hook with no-operation instructions, by designating memory pages of the API function as non-executable in the default memory view, or by designating memory pages of the application as non-executable in the security memory view. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

摘要: A process integration system to interface between a sender system and a receiver system is described. The process integration system has a sender adapter, an integration engine, a receiver adapter, and a language converter module. The sender adapter receives a communication in a first language from the sender system. The communication is in a first format of the sender system. The sender adapter converts the communication into a second format of the process integration system, and the integration engine identifies the receiver system from the communication in the second format. The receiver adapter converts the communication from the second format to a third format of the receiver system, and sends the communication in the third format and in a second language to the receiver system. The language converter module translates the communication in the third format to the second language associated with the receiver system.

摘要: An aneurysm occlusion system includes devices positionable within a cerebral blood vessel covering a neck of an aneurysm in the blood vessel. A component device includes an expandable tubular body, an expandable anchor, and a link connecting the body to the anchor. One or more devices deployed using a method according to the invention includes a novel feature that guarantees that the distal high coverage segment aligns with the neck of the aneurysm. A single device or multiple devices, used in conjunction with an embolic material or coil, may be combined to form a system according to the invention. When positioned and deployed strategically either alone or with a second device utilizing a method according to the invention, the system has a high coverage region covering a neck of an aneurysm, and a gap between the system and healthy vessel. The system and method prevent blood flow into an aneurysm while permitting blood flow through healthy vessel.
