    摘要: A footstep measuring apparatus and a method thereof are provided. The apparatus includes: a terrestrial magnetism sensor for outputting digital values of each axis according to movements of a body; a reference digital value generator for generating a reference digital value based on N digital values of each axis, (N−1) digital values of each axis, (N−2) digital values of each axis; a reference axis selector for searching N digital value of one axis having a maximum amplitude and selecting the one axis as a reference axis; a digital value determiner for determining whether the N digital value is larger than a reference digital value; and a controller for determining the movement as an ascending movement of one footstep when the N digital value is larger than the reference digital value.

    摘要: A geomagnetic sensor supporting a dip angle detection function. The geomagnetic sensor includes a rotation angle measurement part for measuring pitch and roll angles of the main body with respect to the surface of the Earth; a geomagnetic measurement module for outputting an electric signal corresponding to the geomagnetic field; a memory for storing predetermined reference azimuths and output values of the geomagnetic measurement module corresponding to changes of the pitch and roll angles; and a controller for calculating azimuths by use of the output values of the geomagnetic measurement module, the pitch and roll angles, and predetermined dip angles. The controller establishes at least two dip angles, calculates the azimuth for each dip angle, compares the azimuth to the reference azimuth, and determines a dip angle at the azimuth having a smaller azimuth error as a current dip angle. The geomagnetic sensor can measure a precise dip angle using a simple method.

    摘要: An input device using a geomagnetic sensor includes a geomagnetic sensor outputting a voltage corresponding to geomagnetism, and a control part calculating an azimuth using the voltage output from the geomagnetic sensor and calculating the rotation angle by comparing the azimuth to a previously measured azimuth, thereby generating the input signal corresponding to the rotation angle when the input device is tilted within a certain range. Accordingly, unwanted generation of the input signal is prevented when the input device is tilted by more than a certain angle.

The geomagnetic sensor includes a geomagnetism measuring unit, having a drive pulse generating unit for generating a pulse signal and two-axis flux gates provided in X-axis and Y-axis directions which are orthogonal to each other, for outputting voltage values of the two-axis flux gates corresponding to geomagnetism produced by the drive signal, an acceleration sensor for measuring a pitch angle and a roll angle which indicate a tilting degree of the geomagnetic sensor based on X axis and Y axis, and a control unit for calibrating the azimuth by extracting normalization factors by compensating the voltage values outputted from the geomagnetism measuring unit using the pitch angle and the roll angle measured by the acceleration sensor and normalizing the compensated voltage values using the normalization factors.
