摘要: The number of correction pixels necessary for removal of noise is reduced. A solid-state image pickup apparatus includes a pixel array unit in which image signal generation pixels for generating analog image signals in response to light irradiated thereupon and correction signal generation pixels for generating analog correction signals for correcting the image signals are arranged in a matrix pattern. A conversion unit performs first conversion that is conversion from the analog image signals generated by the image signal generation pixels arranged in a row in the matrix pattern into digital image signals. The conversion unit further performs second conversion, which is conversion performed at substantially the same time with the first conversion, from the analog correction signals generated by the correction signal generation pixels arranged in a plurality of rows in the matrix pattern into digital correction signals. A correction unit performs correction of the digital image signals with the digital correction signals generated in the plurality of rows.

摘要: A solid-state imaging device in which a signal from a first photoelectric conversion portion of one pixel, signals from the first photoelectric conversion portion and a second photoelectric conversion portion of the one pixel, and a noise signal from the one pixel are converted into a first digital signal, a second digital signal, and a third digital signal, respectively. As signals of pixels in a first pixel row, the first, the second, and the third digital signals are input from a memory unit to output signal lines. As signals of pixels in a second pixel row adjacent to the first pixel row of a pixel unit in the row direction, the second and the third digital signals are input from the memory unit to the output signal lines while the first digital signal is not output.

The image signal processor receives a signal of a first code value that corresponds to an active pixel included in an active area, calculates a correction value based on a second code value associated with a first area and a third code value associated with a second area, and calculates an output code value based on the first code value and the correction value. The first area and the second area are different from the active area. The correction value includes a component of the third code value in proportion to a distance between the active pixel and the first area and includes a component of the second code value in proportion to a distance between the active pixel and the second area.

摘要: An imaging device includes a pixel region in which light sensing pixels are grouped into pixel-units that each include multiple pixels, each column including pixels from at least two of the pixel-units. Each of the pixel-units is connected, via a corresponding readout line, to a corresponding readout unit configured to perform analog-to-digital conversion on pixel signals output thereto. A scanning unit that extends in a column direction is configured to select pixels for readout by applying row scanning pulses to scan lines connected to rows. A scanning unit that extends in a row direction for applying readout-enabling scan pulses to lines connected to columns is omitted. Those pixels that are selected for readout by one of the row scanning pulses are read out independently of any enabling pulses applied to lines connected to columns.
