摘要: Some embodiments include processing data via an executable file on a monitor to reduce the dimensionality of the data being transmitted over the wireless network. The output of the executable file also encrypts the data before being transmitted wireless to a remote server. The remote server receives the transmitted data and makes likelihood inferences based on the recorded data.

摘要: A patient state monitoring system and a method for monitoring patient state are disclosed. The patient state monitoring system includes a monitoring device and a monitoring module communicationally connected to the monitoring device, the monitoring module being worn on the patient's body. The patient state monitoring system also includes a processor that obtains parameters, and sets the operating mode of a monitoring module according to the obtained parameters, where the operating mode of the monitoring module comprises a continuous monitoring module and an intermittent monitoring mode. By use of the patient state monitoring system and method, during the monitoring of a patient, strict monitoring of the user's physical condition can be satisfied and the processing of redundant data can be reduced, thereby improving monitoring efficiency and quality.

摘要: Various devices, systems and methods for performing contactless monitoring of the sleep of multiple users over a same time period are presented herein. A determination may be made that two users are present within the region. In response to determining that two users are present, a first portion of the data may be mapped to a first user and a second portion of the data may be mapped to a second user. Separate sleep analyses are performed for the first user and the second user.

摘要: Provided herein are methods and systems for recognizing an infant action in a recorded video. The infant action recognition technique includes performing pose estimation for each frame of the video, where pose corresponds to skeletal joint locations and joint angles. A posture classifier uses the pose estimations to classify each pose estimation as one of five postures and a probability value for the posture. The infant action recognition technique further includes using the identified postures for each frame and the probability values to determine a period of uncertainty that corresponds to a transition segment. The infant action recognition technique further includes using the first and last frames of the transition segment to distinguish start and end stable postures. The technique further includes performing filtering and majority voting to remove outlier posture classifications and determine an infant action label for the video based on the start and end stable postures.

摘要: Systems and methods for estimating emotional states, moods, affects of an individual and providing feedback to the individual or others are disclosed. Systems and methods that provide real time detection and monitoring of physical aspects of an individual and/or aspects of the individual's activity and means of estimating that person's emotional state or affect and change to those are also disclosed. Real time feedback to the individual about the person's emotional change, change or potential change is provided to the user, helping the user cope, adjust or appropriately act on their emotions.

摘要: A brain injury reduction system provides a protective measure to reduce severity of brain injury caused by collision or blast. A sensing device of the system detects an impending or occurring event (e.g., collision or blast) in an environment surrounding the individual and sends information about the event to a controller of the system. The sensing device can be stationary or moves with the individual. Based on the information, the controller determines whether the event will likely cause brain injury to the individual. If so, the controller sends an instruction to an actuation device of the system to activate the protective measure. The actuation device uses transcutaneous electrodes to electrically simulate glottis closure and contraction of the abdominal musculature to induce a Valsalva-like maneuver. The Valsalva-like maneuver can increases the stiffness of the brain tissues in the intracranial compartment, and thus reduces the susceptibility of the brain tissues to deformation.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for calculating athletic activity parameters. Multiple housings are position at different locations on a user's body. The housings are configured to be removably engaged with an electronic module that includes a sensor and a processor configured to calculate athletic activity parameters. Each housing is connected to or includes an identification memory that stores information identifying a location of the housing. The electronic module uses the location information to select an algorithm to use when calculating the athletic activity parameters.

摘要: A hand-held device, such as a remote control, is provided for operation of a consumer appliance and is equipped with one or more biometric sensors to capture and report on the health condition of a user of the hand-held device. The data captured by such a hand-held device may be evaluated locally in the hand-held device itself or may be conveyed to a target consumer appliance either for local evaluation by that consumer appliance or for onward transmission to a central off-site monitoring service.
