摘要： A method and apparatus for image reproduction using output prediction is provided. The method includes converting color information of a first color space input to an image display device into color information of a second color space in which a sampled viewing environment of an output object by a printing device has been reflected; selecting a specific color distortion region according to a difference between an actual viewing environment and the sampled viewing environment of the converted second color space, and compensating a color component of the selected specific color distortion region; and converting corrected color information of the second color space which has been created through the compensation into corrected color information of the first color space, and outputting the corrected color information of the first color space through the image display device.

摘要： A gamut mapping apparatus includes a parameter calculating unit calculating parameters for segmenting a gamut of an output device using gamut information about first and second input color spaces; a gamut segmenting unit segmenting the gamut of the output device into a core gamut and a surround gamut using the parameters; and a gamut mapping unit performing gamut mapping on image data present into the first and second input color spaces to the core gamut and the surround gamut according to a predetermined mapping method. The gamut mapping apparatus and method enable accurate reproduction of image data having components having undergone total internal reflection falling outside the scRGB color space or high chroma components in the scRGB color space.

摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for converting a preference color, in which the color space of a preference color selected by a user is divided into a plurality of sub-regions according to color distribution characteristics, and the colors of the respective regions of an input image corresponding to the user's preference color are converted into colors of proper sub-regions among the plurality of sub-regions. The apparatus for converting a preference color includes an image extraction unit which extracts at least one image region that includes a preference color from an input image, an image analysis unit which analyzes color distribution characteristics of the image region, a color-space extraction unit which extracts a divided space corresponding to the color distribution characteristics from divided spaces included in a color space of the preference color, and a color conversion unit which converts a color of the image region by using a color conversion model corresponding to the extracted divided space.

The apparatus includes a filter unit including a plurality of filters having different patterns with respect to a plurality of image channels and filtering images input into the filters, an image sensing unit including a plurality of image sensors sensing images filtered through the plurality of the filters, an interpolation unit calculating image channel values of pixels of the sensed images, and an image combination unit assigning the calculated image channel values to corresponding pixel positions to generate a single desired image.

摘要： An apparatus and method for image-adaptive color reproduction is provided. The apparatus includes an information-extraction unit, an image-compression unit and an image-information-reproduction unit. The information-extraction unit inputs image information of a first color space model, converts the input image information into image information of a second color space model, and extracts pixel frequency information of pixels belonging to a plurality of color regions by using the image information of the second color space model. The image compression unit inputs the image information of the first color space model, converts the input image information into the image information of the second color space model, and calculates compressed image information by compression-mapping the image information of the second color space model. The image information reproduction unit outputs final image information by using the pixel frequency information and the compressed image information.
