    Abstract: A door lock assembly includes a sleeve connected to a handle, a spindle tube inserted into the sleeve and having a spindle tab to control a latch, and a spindle driving plate disposed transversely within the spindle tube. A tail piece of a key plug attached to the handle engages a central aperture of the spindle driving plate. A radial tooth of the spindle driving plate extends radially into a slot of the spindle tube so as to rotate the spindle tube when the spindle driving plate is rotated by the tail piece.
