Abstract: A surface contact card latching assembly (100) is formed in a portable electronic device. The latching assembly includes a receiving portion (11) and a latch module (12). The receiving portion is configured for receiving the surface contact card, and a first end of the receiving portion forms an entrance (112) via which the surface contact card can enter or exit. The latch module includes a blocking tab (120) and an elastic latch (122). The blocking tab extends from the receiving portion for partially covering the receiving portion. The elastic latch is disposed at the first end of the receiving portion.

Abstract: A SIM card holder includes a base (10) and a catching mechanism (20). The base defines a receiving groove (114) and a slot (110). The receiving groove is configured for receiving the SIM card therein. The base comprises a protrusion (108). The protrusion and the slot are arranged at two opposite sides of the receiving groove. The catching mechanism comprises a main board (201) having a bending piece (202) and a bending hem (204) at two opposite ends thereof The bending piece is detachably engaged with the base, and the bending hem is constantly retained in the slot of the base. The main board comprises an elastic slice resisting the protrusion of the base when the bending piece being engaged with the base. The catching mechanism is movable relative to the base and rotatable about the end of the bending hem when the slice disengages from the protrusion.

Abstract: A chip card retaining mechanism for retaining a chip card (30) mounted in an electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing (10) having a battery compartment (12) defined therein. The chip card retaining mechanism includes a receiving cavity (14) formed on the housing for receiving the chip card therein, and a locking member (20). The receiving cavity has an opening facing the battery compartment of the electronic device. The locking member is movably received in the receiving cavity with a first end thereof extending out of the opening. The locking member includes a resisting portion. The resisting portion is configured for abutting a first end of the chip card. The locking member configured for locking the chip card in the receiving cavity.
