摘要: Sliding closure at an outlet of a metallurgical vessel includes a housing fastened to the vessel, a slider unit coupled and longitudinally displaceable relative to the housing, and a respective cassette arranged in the housing and/or slider unit and which operatively retains a refractory closure plate having an opening for passage of medium from the vessel. The closure plate is fixable in and releasable from the cassette by interaction of structure on the cassette and housing or slider unit. This structure includes a retaining element and an elbow lever mechanism on opposite end sides of the cassette, and a corresponding receiver element and snap-in element on opposite sides of the housing or slider unit such that the cassette can be pushed into the housing or slider unit at an angle and fixed therein by pressure through engagement of the elbow lever mechanism with the snap-in element.

摘要: Submerged nozzle (1) through which molten steel can be poured from a tundish into a mould, said nozzle comprising: a substantially tubular body (2), extending from a first end (3) to a second end (4); a passageway (5), extending through the tubular body (2) along a longitudinal axis (A) from the first end (3) towards the second end (4); at least one inlet port (6), opening into the passageway (5) at said first end (3); a plurality of outlet ports (8), opening into the passageway (5) in a region (7) adjacent to the second end (4); and at least one rotatable insert (10); whereas the submerged nozzle (1) with the at least one rotatable insert (10) is configured that a molten metal entering the submerged nozzle (1) at the at least one inlet port (6) flows through the passageway (5) and around the rotatable insert (10) and exits the submerged entry nozzle (1) via the plurality of outlet ports (8), such that a rotation of the rotatable insert (10) is driven by the stream of molten metal.

摘要: Refractory casting nozzle for a changing device arranged at the outlet of a metallurgical vessel is provided with a top side refractory plate, which is provided with an abutting surface at each of two opposing end faces. During a change, the casting nozzle can either be moved against the one abutting surface of a top side plate of an adjacent casting nozzle or be pushed out from this casting nozzle. This top side plate is provided, in the one abutting surface, with a centering element protruding on both sides of this and in the opposite abutting surface with a bevelling on both sides, designed such that, during a change, the casting nozzle cooperates, with its centering elements with the bevellings of the adjacent identically designed casting nozzle, thus bringing about a guiding of the two casting nozzles.

摘要: Method for determining the state of a fire-resistant lining of a vessel containing molten metal in particular in which maintenance data, production data, and wall thicknesses at least at locations with the highest degree of wear are measured or ascertained together with additional process parameters of at least one identical/similar vessel after the vessel has been used. The data is collected and stored in a data structure. A calculating model is generated from at least some of the measured or ascertained data or parameters, and the data or parameters are evaluated using the calculating model using calculations and subsequent analyses. Thus, related or integral ascertaining processes and subsequent analyses can be carried out, on the basis of which optimizations relating to both the vessel lining as well as the complete process of the molten metal in the vessel are achieved.
