摘要: An I.G.B.T. (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) driven electronic flash unit includes a control switch for controlling an off-operation of the I.G.B.T. The control switch has a first terminal for receiving a light-emission stopping command of a very short pulse width, a second terminal supplied with a collector electrode voltage of the I.G.B.T. connected in series with a flash tube, third and fourth terminals respectively connected with gate and emitter electrodes of the I.G.B.T., which short-circuits the third and fourth terminals upon receiving the light-emission stopping command at the first terminal, and maintains the short-circuit operation as long as it receives the collector electrode voltage of the I.G.B.T. at the second terminal.

摘要: In an electronic flash device of the type having a power supply unit comprising a low DC power supply and a DC-DC converter and an IC memory which can maintain its stored information even if when a power supply switch is turned off, there are provided a backup capacitor which can maintain the normal and stabilized operation of the IC memory which is connected to the power supply even when the voltage of the power supply drops to such a level that the normal and stabilized operation of the IC memory cannot be maintained; a voltage detecting means for detecting the voltage across the power supply; and a control circuit which responds to the output signal from the voltage detecting means so as to control the operation of the DC-DC converter.

摘要: A camera which has a macro-photographic optical system for taking the magnified picture of a minute object or specimen, a first viewfinder system for permitting to view the magnified image of the object or specimen in the case of macro-photography, an illumination source for illuminating the object or specimen in the case of macro-photography, a normal or standard photographic optical system for taking the standard picture of a subject or object, a second viewfinder system such as an inverted Galilean finder used in the case of standard photography and an electronic flash. The selection of the macro-photographic mode or the standard photographic mode can be accomplished only by shifting a single optical element; that is, a reflecting mirror mounted in a mirror box.The camera has such a superior feature that the camera is very simple in construction yet capable of highly effective results in practice while in the case of macro-photography, a specimen can be clearly viewed and sharply focused.

摘要: In a photographic flash device comprising a main capacitor (1) for storing a large electric energy, a gas-discharge flash tube (4) to be lit by the electric energy of the main capacitor (1), a switching circuit (5+9) which switches off the discharging of the flash lamp (1), a control circuit (20) which controls the switching circuit (5+9) in a manner to switch the switching circuit (5+9) off at a sending of a stopping signal from a triggering circuit (20) to the switching circuit (5+9), and a timer circuit which controls, responding to a selected guide number (G.N.) of flash photographing, the time period from the start of flashing of the flash tube (4) to a sending of a stopping signal to the control circuit (20) (namely the time period of flashing), the improvement is that the time period is adjusted responding to the voltage across the main capacitor (1).

摘要: The aperture setting blades, which are drivingly coupled to a step-motor, have main openings which define the main aperture through which a subject is focused upon the photosensitive recording medium, and incident light control means adapted to control the quantity of light from the subject incident upon a photosensitive transducer. In response to the output from the photosensitive transducer, the transmission of clock pulses from a pulse generator to a step-motor control circuit is controlled so that the main aperture may be opened to the optimum opening area depending upon the brightness of the subject. Light control means consists of an auxiliary aperture defined by auxiliary openings cut through the shutter blades and adapted to change its opening area in proportion to that of the main aperture or an electro-optical element such as a liquid crystal or Kerr cell whose light transmissibility changes when subjected to the electric field which is changed in response to the opening area of the main aperture.

摘要: An emission angle variable flash apparatus of the invention alters an angular aperture to be formed by side reflection plates disposed oppositely to both side surfaces of a reflector in linkage with a change of a distance between a Xe tube and a reflector on their optical axis, thereby enhancing the efficiency of utilization of flash from a light source and expanding a variable range of an emission angle in the horizontal direction. As a result, the emission angle variable flash apparatus of the invention is made smaller in size than in the prior art.
