Abstract:
A jewelry apparatus. The jewelry apparatus may be adapted to serve as practically any type of jewelry, but is best suited for use as a pendant or a broach. A shaft portion may be removably attached to a base piece by means of a slotted locking member. The shaft piece is used to carry ornamental elements, such as decorative beads or precious or semi-precious stones. The ornamental elements may be permanently affixed to the shaft, or most desirably may be slipped onto the shaft so as to be interchangeable. Accordingly, the invention permits a user to change the ornamental elements by removing the shaft from the base piece and selectively interchanging the ornamental elements and then replacing the shaft upon the base piece. Alternatively, the entire shaft with ornamental elements thereon may be selectively replaced. In either case, a single base piece is used, allowing the user to change the overall appearance of the jewelry apparatus to customize it to occasion or apparel, two security features are provided to assure that the shaft cannot accidentally be removed from the base piece to result in the loss of the ornamental elements.
Abstract:
A piece of jewelry is provided which includes a base and at least one ornamental member. When the piece of jewelry is in an unassembled state, the ornamental member is detached from the base. The ornamental member includes a pair of elongate pins which are insertable into a pair of openings in the base and foldable to folded relation facing towards each other thereby firming fixing the ornamental member to the base to constitute an assembled piece of jewelry.
Abstract:
A device for releasable attachment of an object to a support member, such as a precious stone to a brooch or necklace, includes a first member for attachment to the object and having a releasable locking device and a second member for attachment to the support member and having a tab insertable into a slot of the first member to be engaged by the locking device to thereby releasably secure the first and second members together.
Abstract:
A set of jewelry articles comprises a plurality of supports of different natures and/or sizes, such as rings, necklaces, bracelets, ear-rings and the like and one or more identical settings, such as baskets or bezels carrying precious stones. The settings are adapted so as to be fixable, in a removable manner, on any support of the plurality of supports by means of male and female coupling elements. The female coupling element is located inside the settings. Each support and/or each setting is provided with a blocking lever inhibiting a relative movement between the setting and the support on which the setting is fixed.
