    摘要： In a vehicle seat belt system in which the belt has a diagonal or shoulder portion and a lap or pelvis portion, the diagonal portion is connectable at a desired position to an extension of the lap portion which is stretched diagonally upright over the front of the back of the seat. A snubber device isolates the portions of the belt providing the lap portion and the extension, the upper end of which is connected to an anchorage for a retractor from which the diagonal portion downwardly extends. The diagonal portion and the extension are connected by a device such that tension in the belt as it extends forwardly over the users shoulder, tilts the device into engagement with the seat back to enhance frictional engagement therewith against inadvertent movement of the device.

    摘要： In a continuous loop restraint system wherein one end of a length of webbing is anchored near the vehicle seat and the other end of the webbing is anchored near the roof of the automobile, a releasable anchor for releasably anchoring a central portion of the webbing is provided so that the portion of the webbing from the floor anchor to the releasable anchor becomes a lap belt and the portion from the roof mounted anchor to the releasable anchor becomes a shoulder belt. A retractor is provided for winding one end of the webbing therearound. The webbing can slide relative to the releasable anchor to allow respective webbing sections to be of desired lengths. The restraint system has been improved by providing drive means associated with the releasable anchor for urging the webbing through the releasable anchor toward the retractor so that excess webbing is wound about the retractor and so that the portion of the webbing between the stationary anchor and the releasable anchor is tight. The drive means may comprise spring loaded means wound to a tensioned condition when the releasable anchor is moved from a stowed position to its anchored position for urging the webbing toward the retractor. Teeth are provided on the webbing, a gear is provided on the drive means, and the gear engages the teeth to insure positive drive between the webbing and the drive means. The teeth may be located on a strip attached to one side of the webbing, and a stop may be associated with the strip for limiting the length of webbing which can pass through the releasable anchor.

    摘要： A belt adjuster configured to secure a belt of a child car seat. The belt is squeezed and/or compressed between a belt bar and a frame to prevent movement of the belt. The belt adjuster includes a trigger configured to function as a lever. In one example, the lever extends from a belt bar to the trigger, such that force applied to the trigger actuates the belt bar. The lever is configured to multiply a force applied to the trigger to reduce the force needed to release the belt. In one embodiment, a force vector applied to the trigger is in a parallel and opposite direction from a force vector of the belt bar. In another embodiment, a force vector applied to the trigger is in a parallel and/or transverse direction from a force vector of the belt bar.
