摘要: A center beam car has a main deck structure extending laterally from a main center sill, and a central vertically oriented central beam structure. The center beam so formed defines bunks upon in which to carry cargo. The upper region of the web-work structure includes a top chord mounted to run between two end bulkheads. The cargo can be secured to the deck with straps or webs. When the car is empty the straps or webs can be stored within boxes that are accessible at deck level by a person of average height. The storage boxes can be along the center line of the car, between the posts of the center beam, or they can be located adjacent to the side sills. Further, the boxes can be movable to a raised position, or to a lowered, stored position. A reeling mechanism is provided to facilitate winding of the straps or webs for storage.

摘要: A universal boxcar is provided with exterior metal surfaces and load carrying capabilities of a conventional uninsulated boxcar and thermal transfer ratings of an insulated boxcar. The boxcar may be formed with interior dimensions corresponding generally with interior dimensions of an uninsulated boxcar without high cost, high performance insulation. The boxcar may include a double side doors slidably mounted on the exterior of each sidewall assemble. A load restraint system may be provided with improved load carrying capabilities and performance characteristics. The load restraint system may have increased load carrying capacity, increased service life, and reduced maintenance costs. All or portions of the load restraint system may be used in uninsulated boxcars or temperature controlled railway cars.

摘要: A tie-down cable assembly attaches to a vehicle bed and improves how cargo can be secured in the vehicle bed. The assembly includes a first tie-down cable longitudinally spanning the vehicle bed and having two opposing ends. A first fastener is connected to a first of the ends of the first cable and to the front bed tie-down anchor of the first pair. A second fastener is connected to a second of the ends of the first cable and to the rear bed tie-down anchor of the first pair. A second tie-down cable longitudinally spans the vehicle bed and having two opposing ends. A first fastener is connected to a first of the ends of the second cable and to the front bed tie-down anchor of the second pair. A second fastener is connected to a second of the ends of the second cable and to the rear bed tie-down anchor of the second pair. A chord is connected to the first cable to the second cable. The chord covers and secures the cargo that is to be held.

摘要: A fastener assembly secures loads to a track in a truck bed and is retainable within a track slot of the track. The fastener assembly may include a retainer adapted to fit at least partly within a track slot and a rotatable handle operating on the retainer, the rotatable handle being rotatable between at least an engagement position and a release position. A pressure applicator is positioned between the track and the rotatable handle, the pressure applicator having a bottom surface for applying a pressure on a top surface of the track in response to the position of the rotatable handle. The pressure applicator includes at least one projection projecting from an interior region of the bottom surface and adapted to engage a positioning scallop of the track.

摘要: A winch bar for use with tie-down strap winches has an elongated bar member, an insert member attached to the bar member, a bar pawl pivotally attached to the bar member and a spring to bias the bar pawl toward the insert member. The bar pawl abuts the insert member when the winch bar is in a closed position. The spring is disposed between a first spring connector attached to the bar member and a second spring connector attached to the bar pawl. With the insert member engaged in the strap winch, the winch bar winds the strap winch winding drum by operatively engaging the strap winch ratchet wheel when pivoted in the tightening direction. When pivoted in the opposite direction, the bar pawl ratchets against the ratchet wheel to allow winding of the winding drum without having to remove the winch bar from the strap winch.

摘要: A retractable snap ring structure includes a snapping hook, a clamping seat, a receiving box, a bottom housing, a fixing plate, an upper washer, a lower washer, a vehicle body, a spring, and a small-sized spring. The hook portion of the snapping hook may be protruded outward from or retracted into the vehicle body by a simple pressing action, thereby facilitating the user using the retractable snap ring structure. Thus, when the snapping hook is not in use, the hook portion of the snapping hook may be retracted and hidden in the vehicle body, thereby preventing the hook portion of the snapping hook from protruding outward to hurt the people, and thereby increasing the lifetime of the snap ring structure.

摘要: A manually operated winch system secures cargo to a transport vehicle. The winch system has a shaft rotationally mounted relative a frame. A ratchet drive mechanism controls rotation of the shaft. A handle received in the drive mechanism can be used both to control rotation of the shaft and to control operation of a pawl. The drive mechanism is configured such that tilting the handle moves a member axially. Sufficient axial movement of the member causes the pawl to disengage mating ratchet teeth and thereby allows the shaft to rotate freely. In some embodiments, an adjustment mechanism limits the extent to which the member can move axially.

Flexibility in load adaptation is provided for in that a number of different load capture arrangements can be utilized.
