    摘要: An undercarriage system for a track-type machine includes a ground engaging track, and an idler for the ground engaging track having a hub formed of a relatively lower hardness metallic material, and a compound annular rim capping the hub and being formed of a relatively higher hardness metallic material. The hub includes a radially projecting outer spine, which is annular and concentric with an idler mounting bore defined by an inner peripheral surface of the hub. First and second rim components of the compound annular rim abut one another and sandwich the radially projecting outer spine. Each of the first and second abutting rim components includes a stepped profile. The idler may include a remanufactured idler having a reusable hub and replacement compound annular rim.

The contact interface may include sacrificial wear material on the rotatable element and sacrificial wear material on corresponding track links. The contact interface may have a configuration based on a location of the seals, and is adapted to inhibit wear of the track links in regions adjacent the seals. In another aspect, the contact interface is a guide interface.

In an embodiment, the idler assembly comprises an idler gear operatively associated with the track assembly; a sleeve; a shaft, sets of splines on the shaft and on the sleeve sized for engagement, and connectors at ends of the shaft; at least one bearing block forming a bore therethrough; at least one bushing liner disposed within at least one bearing block; and at least one retaining device for constraining the shaft from withdrawal from the bearing block. A method for retrofitting a shovel with an existing idler assembly is disclosed. In an embodiment, the method comprises positioning at least one bushing liner within a bore of at least one bearing block; attaching an idler shaft and an idler gear together; and positioning the idler shaft within the at least one bushing liner.

A second side flange is removably mounted to the outer flange. The side flanges comprise side-facing abutment surfaces which interface with side-facing surfaces on the tire. The difference between the lesser and greater diameters is greater than radial stretch capability of the tire.
