The bushing has smaller-diameter parts on both ends and a larger-diameter part arranged between the smaller-diameter parts with stepped portions interposed therebetween, and is fitted over the outer circumference of the shaft to be rotatable relative to the shaft around the rotation axis. The roller shell has a cylindrical shape, and is fitted over the outer circumference of the smaller-diameter parts of the bushing to abut on the stepped portions. The retainer is formed annularly, is fixed detachably to an end face of the bushing, and abuts on the end face of the roller shell with the elastic member interposed therebetween.

摘要： A method of modifying a track assembly wheel includes removing at least a portion of the wheel from the track assembly including a first disc, securing a second disc to the wheel on a first side of the first disc to create a modified track wheel, and replacing the modified track wheel on the track assembly such that the wheel engages a continuous track of the track assembly and an alignment mechanism of the track, the wheel being positioned such that a portion of the alignment mechanism is between the first disc and the second disc such that the first disc engages a first side of the portion of the alignment mechanism and the second disc engages a second side of the portion of the alignment mechanism.

In an embodiment, the idler assembly comprises an idler gear operatively associated with the track assembly; a sleeve; a shaft, sets of splines on the shaft and on the sleeve sized for engagement, and connectors at ends of the shaft; at least one bearing block forming a bore therethrough; at least one bushing liner disposed within at least one bearing block; and at least one retaining device for constraining the shaft from withdrawal from the bearing block. A method for retrofitting a shovel with an existing idler assembly is disclosed. In an embodiment, the method comprises positioning at least one bushing liner within a bore of at least one bearing block; attaching an idler shaft and an idler gear together; and positioning the idler shaft within the at least one bushing liner.

摘要： A track laying vehicle such as an EOD robot has an endless track on each side driven by a respective sprocket, and the vehicle is supported by a series of road wheels running on the tracks along each side. Each track comprises a series of tangs extending oppositely to the ground-engaging surfaces of the track and the road wheels are in parallel pairs to define circumferential grooves through which the tangs pass when the tracks are driven. The dimensioning of the tangs and grooves is such that the tangs are positively nipped by the road wheels during their passage to prevent the track from dropping out if not in contact with the ground—for example when the vehicle crosses a ditch or climbs over an obstacle—and resists shedding of the track in such circumstances.

摘要： A crawler-dozer has a track assembly that includes an idler wheel with an elastomeric ring extending around its outer surface. The ring is continuous, having no breaks in its periphery that permit it to fall off. The ring is not held onto the idler wheel by fasteners but by being force fit on or molded around the periphery of the idler wheel. The ring may be inhomogeneous, having different hardnesses or having reinforcing materials embedded in an elastomeric matrix.

摘要： A belted undercarriage assembly for a belt laying track machine includes a frame, an endless belt for supporting the machine, a plurality of spaced apart resilient wheels in contact with the belt, and a plurality of guide members associated with the belt. Each of the resilient wheels includes a side wall portion having a reinforcing ring attached thereto. The reinforcing rings are adapted to contact the guide members and prolong the useful life of the resilient wheels. The reinforcing rings are preferably segmented to provide a plurality of spaced apart pads having substantially straight edge portions for removing debris from the frame as the resilient wheels rotate.
