    摘要： Particulate aluminaceous materials employed in the manufacture of aluminum, such as aluminaceous ores or intermediates, are comminuted prior to the extraction of aluminum therefrom, by soaking the material in an alkaline or acidic electrolyte for a period of from about 0.2 to about 24 hours without the need for stirring and other agitation, whereby the structure of the particulate material becomes loosened, and then completing the comminution by subjecting the particulate material to primarily shearing forces until the average particle size of the material is under 1 mm.
