Abstract:
An escutcheon used with a plumbing fixture that is recessed in a wall and that has a part projecting through the wall itself has a plate shaped to fit around the part flatly against the wall and formed offset from the part with a throughgoing hole. Structure fixed relative to the fixture forms a throughgoing hole offset from the part snugly receiving a radially expansible anchor tube also extending through the plate hole and having an enlarged head lying against an outer face of the plate. A screw engaged in the tube radially expands same into tight engagement with the structure hole.
Abstract:
A masking cover for a wall surface 16 around a pipe 15 which emerges therefrom, constituted by two circular concentric plates 10 and 11 each provided with a radial slot 13 having parallel edges which are connected together by a semicircular portion 14 having its center coinciding with that of the plates 10 and 11, the plates being arranged for mounting by way of their slot 13 around the pipe 15 in order to form a single stable facing in the form of a circular masking cover.
Abstract:
A stub out retainer is disclosed. The stub out retainer includes a first clamp section having a front end with a first plate half and a first front collar half; a second clamp section having a front end with a second plate half and a second front collar half; and wherein the first and second clamp sections are configured to mate together such that the first plate half and the second plate half define an escutcheon plate, the first front collar half and second front collar half define a cylindrical front collar.
Abstract:
A mounting bracket for a shower head includes a hollow, cylindrical mounting member including a recess, a channel, and external threads; a screw driven through the channel into a wall; a fastening element including a well, a protuberance, an annular flange, and a receptacle in the well; a sleeve including internal threads secured to the external threads to fasten the sleeve, the fastening element, and the mounting member together; a main body including a channel for receiving a section of a pipe, a hollow, cylindrical projection put on the protuberance to engage the flange, an externally threaded protrusion, and a tunnel member projecting out of the projection; a screw driven through the tunnel member into the receptacle to fasten the main body and the fastening element together; and a cap including internal threads secured to the protrusion to fasten the cap and the main body together.
Abstract:
A cable overload device for a cable-actuated drain system having a drain valve assembly and a drain control assembly where the cable includes a driving end connected to the control assembly and a driven end. The overload device includes a plunger, a linking member, a sleeve, and an energy absorber. The plunger is configured to be coupled to the driven end of the cable. The linking member is configured to move the drain valve assembly between open and closed positions. The sleeve includes a bore that extends from a first side to a second side of the sleeve, wherein the bore is configured to receive the plunger through the first side and to receive the linking member through the second side. The energy absorber is provided in the bore between the plunger and the linking member to absorb a force imposed into the linking member from the drain valve assembly.
