    摘要: The present disclosure describes an anchor device for receiving and securing a shaft thereto. The device includes an outer housing within which a jaw assembly is secured. The outer housing of the device may in turn be secured to or within a support structure such as a building component. Jaw components of the jaw assembly may be threaded. Furthermore, the jaw assembly has at least two configurations. In a first configuration, at least one jaw component is positioned away from a central shaft axis against the biasing force of a biasing member. A removable or reconfigurable holding member or stop member selectively secures the at least one jaw component in this position. A second configuration is the result of the holding member being reconfigured by the inserted shaft. The shaft triggers movement of the at least one jaw component toward the central shaft axis and into contact with the shaft.

    摘要: A method and system of affixing a plaque to a solid surface is provided. The method includes the steps of providing at least one opening in a face of the solid surface and inserting a plaque support into the at least one opening. The plaque support includes a body defining a passageway therethrough and having a first end and a second end. The first end has a flange portion. Further, at least one outer tab member extends radially outward toward the first end and at least one inner tab member extends radially inward toward the second end. The outer tab member engages the solid surface upon insertion of the plaque support into the at least one opening. The method and system further include providing the plaque with at least one installation fastener. The at least one installation fastener is inserted into the passageway of the plaque support, such that the at least one inner tab member engages the at least one installation fastener.

    摘要: Clamping anchors, kits, and related methods. The present anchors comprise a body with proximal base and distal blade configured to rotate relative to the base. The base defines a channel through which a screw or pin is advanced to apply force to a moment arm projection to rotate the blade and can also include a secondary moment arm offset longitudinally from the transverse line toward the distal end of blade. The moment arm(s) can be straight, curved, or angled surfaces that apply sufficient bending moment to rotate the blade up to 90 degrees or more relative to longitudinal axis. Kits comprise one or more anchors and a screw. The methods comprise inserting an anchor through substrate, advancing a screw through the channel so the distal end pushes the moment arm toward the distal end of anchor causing the blade to bend, at the transverse line, away from the longitudinal axis.

    摘要: An anchoring device for insertion in a hole provided in a structure such as a wall (hollow or solid) comprises proximal and distal sections. The proximal section includes a head defining an aperture for receiving a fastener, and the distal section includes a pair of expandable wings displaceable between collapsed and expanded positions. Each wing is biased towards its expanded position such that the wings can engage the structural material delimiting the hole or a distal surface of the structure. The distal section comprises, proximally of the wings, a variable-length flexible portion for allowing the wings to engage the distal surface of the structure for various structure thicknesses. The distal section comprises, distally of the wings, a tip section adapted to spread outwardly when engaged by the fastener.     摘要: Fasteners and related systems according to the invention include a collet body having a first part of a two part anti-rotation arrangement and a cylinder body having a second part of the two part anti-rotation arrangement wherein the collet body and the cylinder body are mateably axially translatable with respect to each other, and have the same or similar outer diameter in some embodiments or not in others. A threaded member rotationally engages the collet body and compressively contacts the cylinder body during operation of the fastener to creating a clamping effect. Rotational interference between the first and second parts of the anti-rotation arrangement preferably occurs at sectional face portions of at least the collet body. Resistance to induced rotation of the cylinder body relative to a work piece rotation of the threaded member is preferably provided by a tool engaging a tool interface present on the cylinder body.

    摘要: A locking dowel assembly for joining wooden objects without glue or screws includes a pair of cups. Each of the cups is inserted into a well in a respective pair of objects intended for joining together. A pair of inserts is provided and each of the inserts is positioned against each other such that the pair of inserts forms a cylinder. The cylinder is inserted into each of the cups for joining the objects together. A retainer is positioned between each of the inserts and the retainer has a plurality of teeth thereon. The teeth engage the cups when the insert is inserted into each of the cups thereby retaining the inserts in the cups.
