摘要: A base member, clip assembly, and panels forming a panel system with a covered seam. The base member is configured at each building structural support. The clip assembly includes a base clip slidably situated within base member between the seam, the base clip further having a vertical web and various flanges. A retainer clip engages the base clip such that retainer clip, base clip, and base member all make contact with both panels. A batten then snaps into and engages upstanding legs of the panels to further secure the panels at the seam, filling a recess. In an alternative embodiment of the clip assembly, the top of the base clip terminates at L-shaped flanges which lock a slotted, U-shaped retainer clip. In a further embodiment, the top of the base clip terminates at a loop, and the retainer “clip” is formed as a flexible seat.

摘要: An improved sliding clip for a standing seam roof, the clip having a clip base supporting a clip tab adapted to connect to a standing seam, the clip tab slidably supported by the clip base along a slide track on the clip base, the clip tab permitted to travel a selected range along substantially the full length of the clip base so that the length of the travel path can exceed or be less than the length of the clip base. Stop members on the clip base and clip tab are positioned to abut when the clip tab is moved in either direction along the slide track. Alternate tab stops can be provided to selectively determine the extent of travel of the clip tab along the travel path.

摘要: A clip assembly secures standing seam skylight or roofing panels to substrates and allows for a full range of movements by the panels while eliminating or reducing frictional noises. The clip assembly may also be used with wall panel systems. The clip assembly includes a first clip member and a second clip member each having an upright member and an upper flange member and a lower flange member extending therefrom. The assembly further includes a gap formed between the upright member of the first clip member and the upright member of the second clip member. In one aspect the clip assembly includes a base which allows the assembly to slide.

摘要: A roof assembly in which overlapping edges of adjacent panel members are joinable in an assembled mode to provide a seam having resistance to sidelap shear, the roof assembly comprising panels having a female sidelap along one edge and a male sidelap along the opposite edge, the female sidelap having a male insertion cavity and a leg member with a female retaining groove. The male sidelap, engageable in the male insertion cavity of an adjacent panel, has a tang lockingly disposed in the female retaining groove in folded tight adjacency to form a standing seam between panels. The panels are interconnected via backer plate fasteners to increase resistance to side slipping under wind uplift.

摘要: A sliding bracket assembly permits adjacent metal roof panels to move relative to one another to accommodate differential thermal expansion. The assembly includes a center element which is bolted across a purlin, and a pair of wing elements, one on either side of the center element. Roof panels are attached to the wing elements on either side. The wing elements can side lengthwise on the center element; thus the wing elements and their attached roof panels can move lengthwise relative to one another as the roof panels differentially expand and contract.

摘要: A glazing panel system is provided with improved glazing panels, retention clips and/or U-shaped connectors. The retention clip may engage the glazing panels at locations lower than top ends of the upstanding seam flanges. In one embodiment, an internal U-shaped connector is positioned to engage the seam flanges while an external U-shaped connector covers the internal connector and the seam between adjacent glazing panels. The glazing panels may be formed with pockets adjacent the base of the upstanding seam flanges to receive a portion of the retention clip to apply retention forces at locations below the upper ends of the seam flanges. The retention clips may be formed with an upper transverse portion that is movable relative to the base portion of the clip to accommodate panel expansion and contraction. Also, a thicker plate or portion may be provided at a top flange for the retention clip to provide increased resistance to uplift loads trying to bend the flange.

In the roof structure, the rigid insulation sits atop the purlin 30. The hold down clip has several functions. First, it joins adjacent roof panels. Second, it holds the roof panels down by fastening them to the underlying purlin. It also, keeps the rigid insulation sandwiched between the roof panel and the purlins.

摘要: A roof panel clip that extends ten feet in length rather than the usual prior art one to two inches, enabling the clip to span the distance between two purlins to support roof panels over these distances. The extended length of the clip enables it to provide greater strength against uplift loads than that which was possible with the older narrower clips and this continuous clip can be installed more quickly than a series of the ususal smaller clips used to cover the same span.
