Abstract:
A sound production component that includes a vibration element, a support member, and a connection part. The vibration element includes a polygonal vibration plate and an electromechanical conversion element attached to the vibration plate. The connection part connects an entire periphery of the vibration plate to the support member. At least a portion of the connection part has a curved shape. The length of a portion of the connection part which connects each corner of the vibration plate and the support member is shorter than the length of a portion of the connection part which connects a central portion of each side edge of the vibration plate and the support member.
Abstract:
An ultrasonic transducer utilizes a unique forward acoustic transmission line comprised of a composite structure partially consisting of a portion of a continuous smooth sheet of material, such as an automobile bumper, from which the acoustic beam is emitted. This makes it invisible to sight, thus allowing for an improved object detection system in which the sensors cannot be seen, so that they do not interfere with the smooth lines that were designed into the surface of the object or vehicle onto which they are mounted. This is a significant improvement for applications where the look and style of the surface of the platform is important, such as in automotive park assist systems.
Abstract:
In an inner bottom surface of a case, a substantially oblong recess having a long axis and a short axis forms a vibration area. A piezoelectric element is bonded to the center of the recess. On the opposite sides of the vibration area, vibration suppression areas thicker than the vibration area are disposed. A side portion of the case is formed to be thin over the entire circumference thereof. A reinforcing member higher in rigidity than the case is bonded to upper portions of the vibration suppression areas. The reinforcing member has a bottom surface substantially equal to the shape of the vibration suppression areas, and has a predetermined height. A gap between the reinforcing member and an inner side surface of the case is also filled with a filling member.
Abstract:
A holding device for an ultrasonic transformer having a diaphragm cup, in particular for a motor vehicle, includes the following: a housing to accommodate the diaphragm cup; a decoupling component to position the diaphragm cup on the housing and on a holding section in vibration-damped manner; and a filler material to connect the diaphragm cup and the decoupling component to the housing in a vibration-damped and sealing, form-fitting manner, the decoupling component sealingly filling a gap between an edge of an opening of the housing and the diaphragm cup, as well as a corresponding method.
Abstract:
A vehicle warning apparatus may include a supersonic speaker for outputting a supersonic wave that is equipped in a parametric speaker. The supersonic speaker includes a supersonic vibrator that generates a supersonic wave. A waterproof sheet and louver is arranged to cover a speaker opening in order to protect the supersonic vibrator from water and other foreign particles. Specifically, the waterproof sheet is arranged to cover the speaker opening at a distance L1 from the supersonic vibrator, where L1=L0×n/4±1/4. The louver is disposed on the other side of the waterproof sheet, such that the waterproof sheet is between the louver and the supersonic vibrator. The distance between the louver and the waterproof sheet is L2, where L2=L0×n/4±1/4. For both L1 and L2, L0 is the wavelength of the supersonic wave, and n is an odd number.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for generating an ultrasonic field having frequencies between 0.9 MHz and 4 MHz in an object, preferably in water or in human tissue, the device comprising a piezo element (1) affixed to a coupling plate (5), the coupling plate emitting the ultrasonic field (6) into the object, wherein the dimensions of the coupling plate are chosen such that the intensity of the ultrasonic field (6) emitted into the object is minimized in a depth deeper than 70 mm.
Abstract:
An ultrasonic sensor includes a cylindrical case having a bottom and a side wall, a piezoelectric element attached to an inner bottom surface of the case, a terminal retainer configured to hold outer terminals and inner terminals, and wires connected to the inner terminals and configured to feed power to the piezoelectric element. The side wall of the case has a thin portion adjacent to an opening of the case and a thick portion adjacent to the bottom of the case. The elastic member is provided between the thick portion and the terminal retainer. An opening region surrounded by the thick portion is preferably covered with the elastic member. The case is preferably internally filled with a filler.

Provided is an audible alarm device including a piezoelectric buzzer, which is capable of suppressing wasted current consumption not contributing to increased sound pressure of the piezoelectric buzzer. The audible alarm device includes: a piezoelectric buzzer; a coil connected in parallel to the piezoelectric buzzer; a current limiting means for adjusting a current supply period for the piezoelectric buzzer and the coil, and limiting a current to the coil during current supply; and a control circuit for controlling on/off time of the current limiting means.
Abstract:
An ultrasonic sensor includes a cylindrical casing having a bottom portion. The casing has a piezoelectric element on a bottom surface thereof. A substrate is attached to an end surface of an opening portion of the casing with a damping member provided therebetween such that the damping member covers the opening portion. Pin terminals are arranged so as to extend through the substrate and the damping member and are electrically connected to the piezoelectric element with lead wires. An inner space of the casing is filled with foamable resin.
