Abstract:
A fuel sender device for a vehicle may include a resistance substrate having a conductor part, a contact plate having a contact point contacting the conductor part, and a float unit moving up and down according to a variation of an oil surface and angularly rotating the contact plate, wherein the fuel sender device includes a variable contact point that allows the contact plate to variably contact the conductor part while moving up and down and rotating according to the variation of the oil surface.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a brush type contact material, including one or more curved metal pawls of which ends come into contact with objects to be contacted. The ends of the pawls have an arc-like cross section in a thickness direction, a curvature radius R1 on a front side from a contact point with the object to be contacted and a curvature radius R2 on a back side from the contact point are formed so as to be R1≧R2, and also both ends in a width direction of the pawl are chamfered. At this time, preferably, R1 is larger than R2 (R1>R2), and R1 divided by R2 (R1/R2) is 3.0 or less. The brush type contact material according to the present invention enables a smoother sliding movement than ever before and can be relatively simply manufactured.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a variable resistance device having at least one pair of channels retaining a conductive ball between them. The channels contain a resistive element and a conductive element and movement of the conductive ball within the channels, caused by rotation of the channels relative to each other, provides a variable resistance.
Abstract:
A variable resistor including a resistive element and a conductive element supported by a plate. Contacting terminals are provided on one or more ends of each element. A carriage is slidably supported above the elements and a conductive roller is supported from the carriage by a suspension member that biases the conductive roller against the elements. The effective length of the current path through the resistive element is varied by using the conductive roller to electrically connect the two elements to one another along different portions of their length. In a preferred embodiment, the carriage moves under the guidance of at least one guide bar and the conductive roller is suspended from the carriage by a coiled spring.
Abstract:
A movable switch contact of a switch for connecting in a circuit at least a pair of stationary contacts which may be the lands or terminal pads of a printed circuit on a printed circuit board includes an actuating member and a bridging portion. The actuating member is supported for movement in at least two directions and the bridging portion is attached for movement with the actuating member. The bridging portion includes a body of a deformable material having a capacity to conduct current and provide electrical continuity between the stationary contacts when the actuating member shall have been moved to a switch closed position. The actuating member may be adapted for movement toggle fashion as well as for sliding movement. Movement of the actuating member toggle fashion may be through snap action and momentarily whereby the return memory of the body causes the actuating member to return to a neutral or switch open position. In sliding movement there is provision of detent means to position the actuating member in one of two or more positions and similarly to the movement momentarily of the actuating member in toggle fashion, the sliding movement of the actuating member may be against a bias force.
Abstract:
A slide is movable lengthwise between spaced parallel collector and resistance strips. The slide has a transverse opening through it, in which is disposed bridging contact means that project from opposite sides of the slide. Resilient means press the contact means and both the strips toward one another to hold them in engagement.
