All of the three kinds of single-pole switches are asymmetrical. Each kind of single-pole switch comprises a strong side and a weak side, for each kind of single-pole switch, a contact housing on the strong side is thick and is connected to a thick shaft, a contact housing on the weak side is thin and is connected to a thin shaft. A rotor component in each kind of single-pole switch only has a single contact spring and the single contact spring is mounted on the weak side. Rotation shafts of adjacent single-pole switches are connected by a linkage shaft so that the single-pole switches are connected, a strong side of one single-pole switch is connected to a weak side of another single-pole switch.

The multi-pole circuit breaker has balanced contact pressure at each contact point, flexible operation, fast breaking, good breaking synchronism of contacts at all poles and long service life.
Abstract:
A breaking unit comprising a contact bridge, at least one stationary contact operating in conjunction with said contact bridge and a rotary bar having a transverse hole accommodating said bridge which is salient on each side of the bar, said bar being fitted between two side panels of the breaking unit. Said contact bridge comprises two sealing flanges respectively placed between the radial surfaces of the rotary bar and the side panels. At least one arc extinguishing chamber opens onto an opening volume of the contact bridge. The rotary bar comprises at least one channel connected to the transverse accommodating hole.
Abstract:
A switchgear device comprising a main unit supporting an operating mechanism and at least a first auxiliary unit. The units respectively comprise a rotary bar coupled with a mobile contact bridge guided in rotation around an axis of rotation. Two stationary contacts collaborate with said mobile contact bridge. The operating mechanism commands at least one drive rod, angular movement of which results in that of the mobile contact bridges between an open position and a closed position. Compensation means comprise a stop against which the drive rod presses in the closed position so as to limit movement of said rod at the level of the first unit, and to apply a rotational torque to said rod to keep it parallel to the axis.
Abstract:
To increase safety when working on electrical installations, a switching device which has a first switch position and a second switch position, includes a first movable switch contact contacting a first contact part in the first switch position and a third contact part in the second switch position, and a second movable switch contact contacting a second contact part in the first switch position and a fourth contact part in the second switch position, wherein the third contact part and the fourth contact part are conductively connected with one another. The switching device can be constructed as a ground-fault circuit interrupter and/or a line circuit breaker.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a moving element for a low voltage switching device and to a switching device comprising this moving element. The moving element according to the invention comprises for each pole a housing unit suitable to receive an elastic element which interacts with an electrical contact. This latter comprises a first contact portion susceptible to contact a further electrical contact and a second portion connectable to a conductive element of the switching device. The electrical contact comprises a pin shaped portion positioned rotating in a seat defined on the housing unit so as to configure a mutual rotation axis of the electrical contact with respect to the housing unit.
Abstract:
A pressure sensitive trip mechanism for actuating a circuit breaker operating mechanism to trip a circuit breaker includes a trip lever and a trip bar. The trip lever is rotatable about a first pivot. The trip bar is positioned proximate the trip lever. The trip bar is arranged to rotate about a second pivot in response to a predetermined level of pressurized gas created by separation of the pair of electrical contacts, thereby urging the trip lever to unlatch the circuit breaker operating mechanism. The pressure sensitive trip mechanism provides for very fast tripping of the circuit breaker in the event of a short circuit condition or an overcurrent fault condition within any one on the circuit breaker poles. In a multi-pole circuit breaker, the present invention provides for protection against single-phasing.
