    摘要： A circuit breaker having an increased interrupting rating without increasing the size of the circuit breaker while maintaining full compliance with UL and IEC standards. An adhesive is applied to a bottom surface near the exhaust outlets of interrupters. The interrupter housing is formed by joining two pieces, and the adhesive is applied across both pieces. The adhesive adheres to a bottom interior surface of a base of the circuit breaker, anchoring the interrupter assembly to the base. The adhesive prevents the two pieces of the interrupter housing from separating during an interruption event, and prevents the interrupter assembly from being lifted away from the base during the interruption event. The adhesive can act as a barrier to prevent interruption gas and pollution that do not escape out of the exhaust ports of the base from entering between the bottom of the interrupter assembly and the interior of the base.

    摘要： A circuit breaker includes a housing having first and second openings, with stationary and movable separable contacts disposed therein. An operating mechanism is disposed in the housing, is coupled to the separable contacts and is structured to move those contacts between open and closed positions. A trip mechanism is disposed in the housing and cooperates with the operating mechanism to trip open the separable contacts. A slot motor assembly is disposed about the separable contacts and has upper and lower slot motor portions. The upper slot motor portion is disposed above the movable contact and the lower slot motor portion is disposed below the stationary contact. The upper slot motor portion includes a rigid, laminated steel member having a general U-shape, with a bight portion, and first and second legs. The first and second legs engage the housing at the respective first and second openings.

    摘要： A circuit breaker includes a rectangular box-shaped intermediate housing and lower housing; a power supply side fixed contact and a load side fixed contact disposed in the intermediate housing and facing each other; and a movable contact housed in the lower housing for bridging the power supply side fixed contact and the load side fixed contact. The lower housing has arc gas emission holes formed in front and rear walls thereof, and is connected to a lower part of the intermediate housing via an engagement part such that the lower housing covers the lower part of the intermediate housing. A thin wall portion is formed in each of the front and rear walls to eject arc gas by bending.

The trip mechanism further includes a tension member that is positioned to bias the latch in a first rotational direction.
