摘要： An all-channel tuner using varactors in the tuner circuit comprises a selector shaft which is disposed axially movably and rotatably, and which has the first gear at the rear end; the second and third gears which selectively mesh with the first gear upon axial movements of said shaft; a planetary motion mechanism section which couples both the gears at predetermined reduction gear ratios by the planetary motion; and a variable resistor which is coupled to the planetary mechanism, and which adjusts an applied voltage to the varactors. The tuner circuit is tuned by the change in the applied voltage of the varactors.

摘要： A tuner control mechanism for a television receiver capable of operation in the VHF and UHF bands of frequencies includes a conventional VHF tuner mounted on a common shaft with a turret of radially extending linear potentiometers for each of the detented positions of the VHF tuner. The linear potentiometers are used to provide a tuning voltage for a varactor tuned UHF tuner, and a band select switch is located for operation by a rotary cam which is rotated with the VHF and UHF tuner elements in order to effect selection of the band of frequency to which the television receiver is to be tuned for each detented position of the mechanism.

摘要： A television tuner arrangement is disclosed including a wide band signal selecting circuit having a solid state voltage variable capacitance selectively controllable in accordance with the level of applied voltage and a channel selector control for controlling the voltage levels applied thereto. The control illustrated herein includes a selector, actuatable to a plurality of channel selection settings, a cylindrical shaped structure providing an external surface of conductive material, and a plurality of voltage taps radially disposed about the surface of the cylindrical structure and mounted for individual movement along the conductive material. A tuning voltage bus is connected to the wide band circuit and is selectively connectable to each of the taps. The cylindrically shaped structure and taps are mounted for rotation about the axis of the structure and ganged to the selector so that a separate tap is connected to the bus for each channel selection setting.

摘要： A key assembly for receiving devices employed in communication engineering, particularly for broadcasting and television receivers, comprises a casing provided with mutually releasable keys in the form of press buttons adapted to switch on storable, selectively adjustable electrical values supplied by channel memories including a plurality of voltage dividers for capacitance diode tuning and including, in association with the individual press buttons, rotatable and slidable knobs for channel tuning and, if desired, for selecting a given frequency range, said frequency range being adjustable by rotating the depressible and rotatable knob into any of a plurality of detented angular positions, with said depressible and rotatable knob being in a position, preferably a depressed position, different from the tuning position. Said depressible and rotatable knobs (5) are disposed in a recess (6) of said casing (3, 18) and are covered by a cover member (7; 8; 9; 34) which is slidably guided in a longitudinal direction in said casing.

摘要： A tuning apparatus includes a dial plate marked with broadcast frequencies thereon, a guide shaft provided in parallel with the dial plate, a substrate having a resistive layer thereon, the resistive layer having varying resistance values distributed therealong which correspond to the broadcast frequencies on the dial plate, the resistive layer being supplied with a DC voltage at opposite ends thereof, a plurality of markers, each slidably disposed with respect to the dial plate to indicate a predetermined broadcast frequency, and each having a first engaging portion and a first electrically conductive slide element for slidably contacting the resistive layer to detect a predetermined DC voltage in response to the location of the markers, a mounting member slidably disposed on the guide shaft in parallel with the dial plate, and including a display member extending therefrom toward the dial plate to indicate a manually selected broadcast frequency, a second electrically conductive slide element for slidably contacting the resistive layer to detect a predetermined DC voltage in response to the location of the mounting member, and a sleeve member slidably mounted on the guide shaft and including a projecting portion adapted to engage the engaging portions of the markers, and a switching circuit supplied with the DC voltages from the first and second slide elements and selectively supplying one of the DC voltages to a tuning circuit as a tuning control voltage.

摘要： The base portion of the wiper contact is deformable to assure continuous electrical connection between a lead screw and the aligned resistive strip located on the surface of the turret, as the contact is inserted therebetween. The strip engaging portion is located on the resilient base portion approximately midway between the guide portion and thread engaging portion such that the deformation causes the contact to exert substantially balanced forces on the lead screw. The structure of the guide portion of the contact is designed to enhance mechanical stability by preventing dislodgement of the contact without the necessity for cooperation with other external parts which obstruct visibility of the position indicating member, which is mounted on the contact and extends over the entire width thereof. In addition, means are provided to prevent the relative lateral movement between the contact and the lead screw during lead screw "runoff".
