摘要: An electrical switch and a circuit breaker are presented herein. The electrical switch includes a graded resistance block comprising a first end having a first electrical resistivity and a second end having an electrical resistivity greater than the first electrical resistivity. The electrical switch further includes a fixed contact electrically coupled to the first end of the graded resistance block, and a sliding contact configured to slide over the graded resistance block. In addition to the components of the electrical switch, the circuit breaker also includes a forcing mechanism to slide the sliding contact over the graded resistance block from the first end to the second end.

摘要: A signal transmitter for a filling level sensor has two sliding contacts which are manufactured integrally with a holder and with spring elements. This leads to the manufacturing costs of the signal transmitter being particularly low. The sliding contacts are arranged on spring tongues and are connected to one another via a link. The spring tongues and the spring elements are therefore arranged in a row and allow the sliding contacts to be prestressed particularly uniformly against sliding tracks of the signal transmitter.

摘要: An electrical resistor has an electrically conductive stack, which includes a plurality of metal first layers and second layers. The stack allows to produce a highly anisotropic resistor, in which the resistance in the direction perpendicular to the layers is much higher than in the plane of the layers. The anisotropy allows the current flowing through the stack to be made homogenous, e.g., to be distributed over the entire stack surface, even if the current is input into the stack in an inhomogenous manner.

摘要: A variable resistance device comprises a resistive member having a resistive resilient material. A first conductor is configured to be electrically coupled with the resistive member at a first contact location over a first contact area. A second conductor is configured to be electrically coupled with the resistance member at a second contact location over a second contact area. The first contact location and second contact location are spaced from one another by a distance. The resistance between the first conductor at the first contact location and the second conductor at the second contact location is equal to the sum of a straight resistance component and a parallel path resistance component. At least one of the first location, the second location, the first contact area, and the second contact area is changed to produce a change in resistance between the first conductor and the second conductor. The straight resistance component increases or decreases as the distance between the first contact location and the second contact location increases or decrease, respectively. The parallel path resistance component has preset desired characteristics based on selected first and second contact locations and selected first and second contact areas. The first and second contact locations and first and second contact areas can be selected such that the change in the resistance between the first and second contact locations is at least substantially equal to the change in the straight resistance component or the change in the parallel path resistance component.

摘要: A method of providing a variable resistance from a resistive member including a resistive resilient material comprises electrically coupling a first conductor with the resistive member at a first contact location over a first contact area; and electrically coupling a second conductor with the resistive member at a movable second contact location over a second contact area. The second contact location is movable relative to the resistive member to change the second contact location between the second conductor and the resistive member, the first contact location and the movable second contact location being spaced from one another by a distance. The method further comprises changing at least one of the first location, the second location, the first contact area, and the second contact area to produce a change in resistance in the resistive member, measured between the first conductor at the first contact location and the second conductor at the second contact location, as the resistive member deforms along the second conductor.

摘要: A compact low profile fader has an elongate support and a manually settable slider mounted for linearly slidable relative to the elongate support. A drive transmission operably interconnecting the slider and a digital encoder so that movement of the slider produces a digital output signal from the digital encoder. The digital encoder has a rotatable encoder disk and is mounted so that its longitudinal direction of extent is in alignment with that of the elongate support. The drive transmission includes a drive pulley and a loop of cord which is wound around the pulley. The pulley drives the rotatable encoder and has a helical groove in its peripheral surface. The cord is engaged in the helical groove and with the slider so that movement of the latter causes the pulley, and thereby the rotatable encoder disk, to be rotated.

The displacement detecting element (1) is designed for detecting the displacement (7′) of the leaves (22) in a multileaf collimator (23) in the following manner: the measuring resistance (2) or the voltage pick off point (4) are connected in a rigid manner to the leaves (22) in order to detect the displacement and another functioning element (4 or 2) is arranged in a fixed manner. At least one of these functioning elements (2, 4) is disposed in an area (33, 33′, 33″) of the leaves (22), which is not exposed to main radiation (34).
