Abstract:
Mowing characteristics of a mowing operation are detected. The mowing characteristics indicate that the mower is engaged and also whether a merger component is engaged. A center line of a windrow is identified based upon a location of the mower and the mowing characteristics. An action signal is generated based upon the center line of the mower.
Abstract:
A system for monitoring field conditions during the performance of an agricultural operation by an agricultural machine may generally include a support arm configured to be coupled to and extend from an agricultural machine such that, when the agricultural machine makes a pass across a field along a given swath, a portion of the support arm extends across or is positioned over at least a portion of an adjacent swath within the field. The system may also include a sensor provided in association with the support arm, with the sensor being configured to detect a parameter indicative of a field condition associated with the adjacent swath. In addition, the system may include a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor, with the controller being configured to monitor the field condition based on sensor data received from the sensor.
Abstract:
A cutting mechanism for the harvesting of whole plants can include a number of mowing elements, which include a lower cutting disk and conveyor rotors located above, two transverse conveyors located in the back, and a delivery conveyor. The cutting disks of the mowing elements work together with a frame-affixed counter-blade and can be driven together with the corresponding conveyor rotors by a shaft. The shafts are driven by a gear arrangement that extends, on the front side, over the width of the cutting mechanism. The frame of the cutting mechanism can include a middle part and lateral parts that are placed so they can swivel, on the middle part, between a horizontal operating position and a raised transporting position.
