摘要： A hand protection system for use by individuals involved in de-mining operations to locate and identify buried anti-personnel mines is designed to provide a degree of protection to the hands of the operative while still enabling the hands to perform necessary operations such as manipulating a probe rod, clearing soil by use of the fingers, etc. In one form the hand protector is a trough-shaped shield which tapers to a rounded forward end and is adapted to fit over the back of the hand of the user, the shield being open on its underside so that the user's fingers can be manipulated. In another form the hand protecting shield is of conical shape having a hole through its narrow end through which a probe can be extended and manipulated by a hand received within the protector. The protector includes laminated layers of aramid fibers together with other tough blast resistant materials such as polycabonate.

摘要： A hand-protection sporting accessory includes a flexible hand attachment for connection about a wearer's hand, and a slide pad extending from the hand. The flexible hand attachment includes a thumb loop through which the wearer's thumb can extend so as to maintain the slide pad adjacent to the palm of the hand unless deliberately released from the thumb. The accessory is particularly useful in competitive skateboarding where the slide pad can be positioned out of the way for quick race starts where the participant needs good grip with the starting gate. A quick “flick” of the hand can be made after the race start, whereby the loop lassoes the thumb to thereby place the slide pad across the palm.

The sleeves have one-piece handles that are contoured to fit the trainer's hand and can be mounted in a plurality of different orientations and locations. The sleeves have one-piece end caps with ledges for attachment to the sleeve and holes to provide ventilation. Different variations of leaf springs can be used in each sleeve to set the level of resistance to compression of the sleeve. Each sleeve in the set cannot be visually distinguished from the other sleeves by the dog in advance of the training, and each sleeve has similar construction so that it is necessary for the trainer to become adept at handling only one type of sleeve.

摘要： A transparent, thin film gloved envelope is provided to be worn on the hand and arm of a person during manipulations and/or examination of hazardous or noxious articles or matter. While the article is held in the gloved hand the sleeve or skirt that was covering the arms can be reversed and rolled over to cover the article and thereafter sealed to form an enclosing envelope. An erectable support skeleton is provided to support the membranes forming an enclosure to allow manual examination of the article contained. The envelope may be of a substantial size, provided with two dependent gloves for two-handed manipulation and examination, and a filtered orifice is provided together with a culture bed inside the enclosure. The suspended enclosure is then useful as an inexpensive examination and culturing chamber.

摘要： A ball glove such as a baseball or softball glove is provided. The ball glove includes digit stalls extending outwardly from a palm portion of the ball glove. The digit stalls include linkages therein which are adapted to couple with the digits of the human hand. The linkages extend from the digits of the human hand to the ends of the digit stalls. The linkages are operative to provide the digits of a human hand with increased sensitivity to the impact of balls contacting the ends of the ball glove. The ball glove may further include high friction grip portions adjacent the palm side surfaces of the digit stalls for assisting in maintaining a grip on a ball. The ball glove may further include a heel bumper for deflecting a ball traveling outwardly of the glove toward the heel portion of the glove.
