摘要： A safety applicator glove system and method is disclosed that is particularly suitable for use in situations where insect repellent and the like must be applied to human skin without contaminating the hands of the person applying the insect repellent. The basic system disclosed includes a glove or mitten with an absorbent outer surface and an internal barrier lining to prevent penetration of liquid on the outer surface of the glove with the person's hand that has been inserted into the glove/mitten. Attached to the glove/mitten proximally to the hand entry point is a protective sleeve/gauntlet that may be extended over the surface of the glove and sealed to act as a containment vessel for the liquid-soaked glove. When retracted, this protective sleeve/gauntlet serves to prevent contamination of the person making use of the glove/mitten system. Various embodiments of the present invention may also be applied with advantage to the control of contamination associated with biohazardous waste, including but not limited to use with surgical gloves and the like.

The present invention has a single compartment to house all of the fingers of the hand and a separate compartment for the thumb and has a defined wrist area. The mitten of the present invention is made of two layers. The first, inner layer is waterproof and impermeable, and, the second, outer layer is a moist, extra absorbent cloth-like disposable material containing moisturizers. The mitten is comprised of disposable material so that it may be easily and economically disposed of after use. The mitten also has an internal pull tab to aid in removal of the glove from the hand of the user.

In the baseball glove, the rough skin is formed by regularly, repeatedly and shallowly cutting the inner surface of the thumb and finger sections to form several rows of arc-shaped and dense cuts, each including a groove and a ridge. The rows of cuts are oriented along a direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the thumb and finger sections. The grooves of the cuts are inclined toward the finger tips of the glove, thus allowing each ridge to have an arc shape curved towards the palm and to be raised up from the skin of the glove so as to brake the rotating action of the ball in addition to preventing an unexpected slipping of the ball out of the glove when catching the ball.

摘要： An athletic wrist support for teaching proper throwing techniques includes an inner body member, preferably made from a soft, flexible material such as Neoprene, which has hook and loop fastening straps to secure the wrist support to the arm. A substantially rigid plate member is attached on an outer portion of the inner body member in such a way that it fits on the upper forearm of a wearer and extends from just below the knuckles on the back of the hand down below the wrist, to prevent pronation motion of the wrist. In a preferred embodiment, the plate member is made from a strong, lightweight plastic, which is substantially rigid, but which will bend under extreme pressure. An outer body member, also preferably made from Neoprene, is attached to an upper portion of the plate member. The outer body member also has hook and loop fasteners that are used to secure the outer body member about the plate member and the inner body member. The wrist support prevents pronation of the wrist, without otherwise disturbing the throwing motion of the hand and arm, causing the object to be thrown at a higher velocity with more consistent accuracy. By preventing pronation of the wrist, the wrist support provides a more consistent release point of the ball, places the wrist in the proper throwing position, decreases stress on the arm and elbow, and causes the person to use more of his or her body instead of their arm to throw the ball. All of these factors contribute to provide more efficient body mechanics, which helps to conserve energy and prevent injury during competition. In essence, by preventing pronation of the wrist, the wrist support forces the wearer to use proper body mechanics, which translates into proper throwing techniques.
