摘要: A sheet feeding device includes a sheet loading portion which is capable of elevating operation and on which a sheet is loaded, a feeding member for feeding the sheet loaded on the sheet loading portion, the feeding member being capable of elevating movement between a contacting position in contact with the sheet and a distanced position distanced upward from the sheet, and a control portion that controls the elevating operation of the sheet loading portion and the elevating movement of the feeding member. When the feeding member at the contacting position moves to the distanced position, the feeding member is distanced upward from the sheet loaded on the sheet loading portion after the sheet loading portion starts a descending operation.

摘要: A transmission gear is movable in an axial direction between a first position separated from an output gear and a second position coupled to the output gear in a state where the transmission gear engages with an input gear. The input gear is configured to: by rotating in a first direction by receiving driving force from a drive source, move the transmission gear from the first position to the second position and transmit driving force in the first direction to the output gear via the transmission gear; and by rotating in a second direction, move the transmission gear from the second position to the first position and cancel transmission of driving force to the output gear. The transmission gear is configured to, when the output gear rotates in a state where the transmission gear is located at the first position, not be coupled to the output gear.

摘要: A feeding roller structure includes a fastening frame, a transmission component, a transmission roller and a floating coupler. The transmission component is assembled in the fastening frame. The transmission component includes a drive shaft mounted on two sides of the fastening frame. The transmission roller is concentrically arranged around the drive shaft. The floating coupler is mounted to the fastening frame. The floating coupler is coupled between the drive shaft and the transmission roller. Two opposite ends of the floating coupler are adjacent to and spaced from the two sides of the fastening frame to form two gaps. Each gap is formed between one end of the floating coupler and one side of the fastening frame. The two gaps limit an angular displacement of the floating coupler.

摘要: A medium feeding apparatus includes a feed roller that feeds media. A separation roller nips the media together with the feed roller to separate it and is rotated in a first direction to feed the media. A motor applies driving torque to the separation roller in a second direction opposite to the first direction. A torque limiter, when rotation torque applied to the separation roller in the first direction exceeds a preset upper torque limit, causes the separation roller to rotate at idle in the first direction independently of the driving torque. During feeding operations, including feeding of first and second media, a controller that controls the motor provides a break period in which the motor is not driven. The break period contains the timing when a rear edge of the first medium leaves a nip position between the feeding and separation rollers.

摘要: In a sheet conveyance apparatus a control unit controls lifting and lowering of a sheet supporting portion by a lifting unit and executes a mixed feeding in one of a plurality of modes including a first mode and a second mode. The mixed feeding is an operation in which a plurality of sheets having different lengths in a width direction orthogonal to a feed direction of a sheet feeding unit are fed by the feeding unit, wherein in the first mode, the control unit causes the lifting unit to move the supporting portion from the second position to the first position based on an instruction to start sheet feeding, and in the second mode, the control unit causes the lifting unit to move the supporting portion from the second position to the first position based on a detection of a sheet by the detection unit.
