摘要: A system and method for covering a cellar at a wellhead to prevent and control fluids and gases from the cellar. The covering includes a mat that circumscribes a wellhead tubular that projects upward from the cellar. A split seam in the mat extends radially from the opening to the mat outer periphery which allows the mat to be placed around the wellhead tubular. A fastener joins the ends of the mat that meet at the split seam. The mat includes a collar, which mounts to the mat along the opening and extends axially away from an upper surface of the mat. The collar is secured to the wellhead tabular with a strap. Two discharge lines project through the mat into the cellar, one for pumping into the cellar, and one for withdrawing fluid that has collected in the cellar.

摘要: A valve assembly is installed within a wellhead such as a conventional tubing hanger or casing hanger used to suspend pipe or other tubular goods in a well. A seal bushing assembly is installed in a tubing head assembly or other wellhead component. A hanger valve assembly is stung into the seal bushing assembly and includes a valve that can be selectively opened or closed. In the open position, the valve does not restrict a central flow path diameter through the hanger and wellhead. In the closed position, the valve contains pressure and/or fluid flow and fully seals against wellbore pressure acting on the valve. A wellhead adapter covers the hanger valve assembly and provides an attachment point for a conventional Christmas tree or other wellhead equipment.

摘要: A wellhead assembly for use with a well that includes a production tree, a production line for carrying produced fluid from the production tree, and a choke in the production line. The choke assembly includes a turbine member that rotates in response to fluid flowing through the production line. The kinetic energy of the rotating turbine is converted into electricity by a generator that is coupled with the turbine member. Selectively impeding turbine rotation with a brake system introduces a pressure drop in the production line fluid, and which regulates flow of the production line fluid. The turbine member can be disposed in a straight run of the production line, or adjacent a bend in the production line.

The plug assembly includes a spool unit displaying an axial through-channel extending between a first end and a second end of the spool unit, which spool unit includes a first flange section arranged at the first end for sealingly mounting the spool unit to the wellhead aligning the through-channel with the port, and a second flange section arranged at the second end; a second plug body including connection elements allowing the second plug body to be sealingly and removably mounted in the through-channel; and a blind flange which is sealingly and removably mounted to the second flange section allowing the second plug body and the first plug body to be removed from the wellhead via the through-channel.

摘要: A method of live well artificial lift completion includes hanging an umbilical on a wellhead of a live well, the umbilical fluidly coupling a production pump to a well surface and electrically coupling an electric motor to a surface power source, the electric motor powering the production pump. The umbilical includes coiled tubing surrounded by a jacket. The umbilical also includes power cables extruded inside the jacket to form a smooth jacket outer surface. The method also includes creating a pressure seal inside the umbilical during deployment of the umbilical into the live well, the pressure seal inside the umbilical created using a blowout plug positioned to block a discharge of the production pump. The method further includes forming an annular pressure seal during deployment of the production pump to obtain well control, the annular pressure seal formed using an annular bag coupled to the wellhead.

摘要: Apparatus and methodologies are provided for modifying the wellhead structure of a production well to seal the production well before subterranean fracturing operations. The apparatus includes an enclosure tubular and adapter 5 for sealingly engaging the polish rod extending from the wellhead structure, while maintaining the entire rod string in tension in a manner to ensure that the string and its connection with the downhole pump are not compromised. More specifically, the present preparations involve retaining the rod string in tension while removing at least the stuffing box from the wellhead structure, and 10 temporarily installing the enclosure tubular and adapter to seal the wellhead, preventing wellbore blowouts.
