    摘要: There is provided an inflatable dummy target comprising a chassis wrapped with a sheet. The chassis can be formed by individual inflatable ducts and can comprise at least two ring-shaped ducts interconnected by one or more elongate ducts. The inflatable dummy target can further comprise rigidizing ducts. The inflatable dummy target geometry can be conical, cylindrical, etc. Optionally, the inflatable dummy target can comprise several attached axi-symmetrical sections, wherein each section has a chassis wrapped with a sheet, the chassis formed by individual inflatable ducts. Optionally, the shape of each section can be selected from the group consisting of conical, frustoconical and cylindrical forms.

    摘要: A portable, rocket-deployed signaling system for deploying a pin-point loion marker including a tractor rocket propulsion unit and attached payload container launched from a hand-held tube. The payload comprises an inflatable marker balloon, a gas generator for inflating the balloon and a tether line connecting the balloon to the launcher tube. A coupling pin, secured to the tether line at a predetermined length from the end attached to the launcher tube and removably supported on the payload container, is pulled subsequent to launch to permit the container to separate and deploy the balloon. A percussion igniter then actuates the gas generator to inflate the balloon with the generator separating after inflation.

    摘要: A solid fuel-powered model rocket having a main body tube and at least one auxiliary body tube. A solid fuel motor is mounted in the after end of one of the tubes and a slidable plug is disposed in the after end of the other tube, the plug being provided with a latch for engaging a wing elevator and maintaining it parallel to the horizontal plane of the wing against the biasing of a resilient band while the craft is in vertical flight. Following burn-out of the propellant charge, the gases generated upon ignition of a blow-out charge in the fuel cartridge cause rearward displacement of the slidable plug, disengagement of the latch and deployment of the elevator to a predetermined up-angel relative to the top horizontal plane of the wing, thereby directing the craft into a generally horizontal glide attitude.
