    摘要: A grenade firing mechanism 12 has a body 18 defining an internal chamber 32 in which a firing pin structure 40 is located. The firing pin structure is actuated by an inertia toggle 64 having a first end contained within the chamber and a second end region 72 which projects from the body. A safety lever 16 is releasably mounted to the second end region 72 of the inertia toggle in an operative position to prevent the inertia toggle moving to actuate the firing pin structure. A lever spring 104 is operative to eject the lever from the inertia toggle allow the firing pin structure to be actuated when the grenade is deployed. The lever 16 carries an abutment pin 120 which extends through the body to engage the firing pin structure 40 to inhibit the firing pin structure moving in a firing direction when the lever is in its operative position. The inertia toggle may have a convex abutment surface which engages the firing pin structure. The firing mechanism is particularly suited to a sound flash distraction grenade.

    摘要: An ejection launcher is an apparatus that effectively ejects a payload while maintaining a compact structure. The apparatus includes an elongated enclosure, a cover, a trigger mechanism, a spring-loaded piston, and a payload. The elongated enclosure positions and connects the trigger mechanism with the spring-loaded piston. The elongated enclosure also houses the spring-loaded piston and the payload. The trigger mechanism releases the spring-loaded piston which forces the payload from within the elongated enclosure. The payload is a desired delivered item and is preferably a parachute. The trigger mechanism and the spring-loaded piston translates horizontal force into vertical force which releases the payload and reduces the release resistance. The trigger mechanism preferably utilizes and includes a servo motor with a output arm. The output arm pushes against a catch plate of the trigger mechanism and releases a catch pin of the spring-loaded piston.

    摘要: An explosive projectile carrying an active charge is to be launched from a barrel. Detonation of the charge requires that a firing pin be driven to a firing position where it impacts a percussion cap. The firing pin is held in a safety position by a barrel probe which is movable to an armed position in a direction perpendicularly to the launch direction. Prior to launching, the barrel probe is held immovable by engagement with both the launch barrel and an acceleration sensor. When the projectile leaves the barrel and acceleration displaces the acceleration sensor, the barrel probe is free to move to its armed position. Also provided are a pretensioned spring, and a pyrotechnical delay element for generating propulsion gas. Either the spring or the delay element functions to move the firing pin to its firing position, and the other of the spring and delay element moves the barrel probe to its armed position.

    摘要: A mechanical system for self-destruction of a munition, in particular a carrier shell submunition, is provided in a munition having a warhead initiated by a pyrotechnic sequence, a main striker and a priming device composed of a slide movable between a safety position and an armed position and which has a device for priming the charge. The self destruction system includes a secondary striker mounted inside a receptacle of a slide and a control device to release the secondary striker after a preset delay. Secondary striker is integral with a holding element and held abutting a seat by the urging of an arming spring. The control device of the secondary striker has a corrosive agent designed to chemically attack the holding element to release it from its seat. When the holding element is released, secondary striker is translationally moved to contact the detonator to destroy the munition.

    摘要: A projectile comprises a pyrotechnic charge and a mobile member inside the projectile which rotates between a safe position and an armed position. At least part of a pyrotechnic delay device is accommodated in a passage in this mobile member. The pyrotechnic charge is initiated via this pyrotechnic delay device. The passage is oriented so as to isolate functionally the pyrotechic delay device from the pyrotechnic charge when the mobile member is in the safe position. It functionally couples the pyrotechnic delay device to the pyrotechnic charge when the mobile member is in the armed position. The projectile further comprises an arrangement on the mobile member and on the projectile to guide relative rotation between them about an axis fixed relative to the mobile member and relative to the projectile. A mechanical arming device retains the mobile member in the safe position and against rotation about the aforementioned axis relative to the projectile at least until the projectile is fired. It obliges the mobile member to move to the armed position when the projectile is fired by rotating about the axis relative to the projectile.

    摘要: An AIRBOC chaff deployment apparatus comprising a canister with a wind flapttached externally to the canister and connected to a drogue chute that is housed inside the canister. The drogue chute is situated atop a main chute that is atop a release mechanism, which is atop a fuze and that is atop a chaft payload, all of which is housed inside the canister. When the AIRBOC is dropped from a plane, the wind flap extends, pulling out the drogue chute. The drogue chute in turn activates the release mechanism which frees the drogue chute to pull out the main chute to which the drogue chute is connected. The deployment of the main chute causes a force greater than 40 lbs to be applied to the release mechanism, resulting in the chaff payload being released from the canister and the fuze being activated, consequently detonating the released chaff payload.

    摘要: A cartridge with firing actuation of the payload comprises a case solid with a case bottom which houses a threaded member constituting an ejection nozzle, and in front of the latter a missile provided with a delay ignition chain interrupted at the level of a transversally movable slide which comes into fire transmission position only after a predetermined delay.     摘要: An automatic porting mechanism on a launchable device for latching a bore rider when said device is moved in one direction and for unlatching a bore rider when said device is moved in an opposite direction. The bore rider is pivotally attached to a slidable plug which closes an orifice in the launchable device. A lip on the bore rider is engageable with a shoulder adjacent the orifice to prevent ejection of the bore rider until forward movement of the device relative to a launcher unlatches the bore rider.
