摘要: A system for generating tailored trajectories for aircraft operating in an airspace includes a trajectory generation program. In operation, the system receives real-time data from various aircraft operating in the airspace and stores the real-time data in a medium accessible to the trajectory generation program. The trajectory generation program accesses the real-time data and flight characteristics data associated with a corresponding aircraft to generate a trajectory for the corresponding aircraft that is at least partially tailored to the real-time data and the flight characteristics data.

摘要: A personal traffic congestion avoidance system for drivers of motor vehicles traveling on roadways in motor vehicles with GPS-based navigational systems. The system includes a GPS-based navigational system that includes a GPS receiver connected to a visual display, a map database and a wireless communication device for communicating with a remote computer over a wireless communication network. The GPS-based navigation system continuously determines the motor vehicle's exact physical location in a region that is intermittently or continuously uploaded to a remote computer via the wireless communication network. The remote computer is connected to a traffic monitoring database or service that provides current traffic affecting events in the region thereto. When a traffic affecting event is located in the designated vicinity of the current location of the motor vehicle, or on the current roadway used by the motor vehicle or on a roadway that may affect the traffic on the current roadway, an alert warning is generated and delivered to the GPS-based navigational system and displayed on the visual display. The driver may ignore the warning or take an alternative route to avoid the traffic congestion.

摘要: Traffic congestion occur mainly through lack of consideration for the driver from the traffic authorities. At present the existing process to diminish or avoid traffic jams by diverting the traffic to less congested roads proves to be absolutely ineffective. Main reason is the lack of alternative routes, for example at border crossings, on motorways or construction sites for repairing purposes. The presented application's main priority is to avoid the nullstop and gonull driving behaviour. Highest fuel consumption and concentrated gas emissions are the negative effects of such behaviour. If the complete amount of vehicles involved in the traffic congestion are gradually held back in sections, it allows the effective liberation of the so called critical area. This area only gets congested due to the growing traffic concentration and will effectively be liberated with the explained application. Unwanted side effects of a traffic congestion, such has increased use of fuel, pollution emission, increase of accidents, driving stress, national economic losses and unfavourable relationship between drivers and traffic authorities can be avoided or at least be reduced considerably. Additionally a substantial reduction of congestion time as well as amount of involved vehicles can be expected.

摘要: A hierarchical traffic control system is disclosed. The traffic control system comprises a primary controller. The primary controller receives information about traffic in an area. The system further includes a plurality of subsidiary controllers. The subsidiary controllers provide information to and receive information from the primary controller. Each of the plurality of subsidiary controllers is associated with a cell within the area. Each of the subsidiary controllers receives and provides information to at least one vehicle concerning traffic conditions within its associated cell. The primary controller and each of the subsidiary controllers are capable of negotiating a change in the flow of traffic based upon traffic conditions. In this system, at least one vehicle within the traffic includes a third-party permission for operation.

摘要: A system for controlling vehicles to provide transportation services without need for human intervention. A database stores records each documenting needed transportation services. Processing circuitry (which may be one or several networked computers) reviews these records, locates records indicating a need for immediate transportation service, and instructs vehicles to provide the service. The processing circuitry also monitors vehicle activities by reviewing the records, and automatically obtained vehicle activity information, to identify transportation services which are not being adequately provided, and refer these to human dispatchers for special attention. A variety of methods for obtaining and updating vehicle activity information are disclosed, as are various applications for the system.

摘要: A system and related methods for configuring and monitoring a spraying application system for installation and use at a site that is remotely located from the spraying system manufacturing site. The system provides a configuration module that allows a customer or purchaser to configure a system electronically based on the customer's spraying needs. The selected configuration may further be linked to a pricing and inventory database module to allow the customer to order the system components, and obtain price and delivery schedules. In one embodiment, the configuration module is available to the customer via a secure web site over the Internet provided by a server accessed from a computer such as a personal computer at the customer's site. The system also provides a remote access module that provides spraying system operation and parametric information to be monitored at the manufacturing site to determine how the spraying system is operating and whether repair or maintenance should be initiated. Safety related parameters may also be monitored as a backup to the primary monitoring performed at the customer's site. The system also provides an extranet or other suitable site available, for example, via the Internet or other communication link, is used to provide an accessible database for historical data and configuration/installation information.
