Abstract: A system and method includes accessing a road network database to identify a tire cost for a plurality of edges in a mining road network, identifying least-cost paths between each of a plurality of nodes on the mining road network using the tire cost for each of the plurality of edges, the nodes including a loading area and a dumping area for a plurality of haul trucks, accessing a distributed objects database to identify constraints for the nodes on the mining road network, determining a production plan using the constraints for the nodes on the mining road network, determining a task assignment for each of the plurality of haul trucks using the production plan as guide, and transmitting the task assignment for each of the plurality of haul trucks.

Abstract: A device for controlling in-vehicle signage is disposed to provide a physical indication of a particular in-vehicle sign. The data defining the particular sign is associated with data defining a trigger point for causing the occurrence of the indication of the particular sign. The device is adapted for control by a processor that is responsive to a conflict between the particular sign and at least one of another sign or a message and is disposed to alter the data defining the trigger point to remove the conflict. The trigger point is defined by the intersection of the path of a vehicle and a trigger zone extending spatially from a defined location of the particular sign.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a distributed data center that includes resources carried by a fleet of vehicles. The system includes sensors configured to generate output signals conveying information related to the vehicles and/or the surroundings of vehicles. The system includes a remote computing server configured to maintain map data and distribute it to the fleet, including local map data to individual vehicles pertaining to their surroundings. Individual vehicles may compare the local map data with the information related to their individual surroundings. Based on such comparisons, individual vehicles may detect discrepancies between the local map data and the information related to their individual surroundings. The remote computing server may modify and/or update the map data based on the detected discrepancies.

Abstract: In an approach to improve the management of operating vehicles through smart contracts, embodiments generate a priority score based on received sensor feeds from a vehicle, co-located vehicles, and a smart contract rule. Further, embodiments assign the priority score to the vehicle and the co-located vehicles and the co-located vehicles and identify that the assigned priority score of the vehicle is higher than the co-located vehicles. Additionally, embodiments manage an operation of the co-located vehicles through a computing device within the co-located vehicles based on the smart contract rule and the priority score and create a priority lane for the vehicle by repositioning the co-located vehicles.

Abstract: A connected-vehicle interface module is provided that includes a connected-vehicle controller, a connected-vehicle radio for receiving an activation signal from a first vehicle warning system controller indicating a road condition, and a connected-vehicle interface controller. The connected-vehicle interface controller further includes a microcontroller and a plurality of universal asynchronous receiver transmitters for receiving and transmitting data communicated to the microcontroller through one or more wired connections to at least one of the connected-vehicle controller and the connected-vehicle radio, a memory device in communication with the microcontroller, and a transceiver and one or more communication ports, coupled to the microcontroller, for connection and communication with a connected vehicle road side unit, wherein the activation signal from the first vehicle warning system controller is communicated to the connected vehicle road side unit via the one or more communication ports.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided. One system is of a vehicle for processing communication with connected objects. The processing by the system uses a processor of the vehicle and processing and data from one or more servers of a cloud system. The connected objects include objects having communication capabilities that are either fixed at specific locations as infrastructure proximate to where the vehicle is located or locations proximate to where the vehicle is moving. The system includes a global positioning system of the vehicle for generating geo-location for the vehicle and a heading direction. The geo-location is configured to be shared with a server of the cloud system using a communications device of the vehicle. The server of the cloud system is configured to receive the geo-location of the vehicle to identify the heading direction of the vehicle. The communications device of the vehicle is configured receive state data from at least one of said connected objects that are proximate in location relative to the vehicle or are along the heading direction of the vehicle. The processor is one of a plurality of processors of on-board electronics, and the processor is configured to execute instructions that processes data associated with of said heading direction of the vehicle and updates in state data received from connected objects. The processing is configured to cause initiation of an action by a subsystem of the vehicle. In one example, the action by the subsystem of the vehicle is to produce a safety warning notification presented on a display of the vehicle or an automatic action by the vehicle for safety.
