摘要： A product delivery device includes a receiving tray. The receiving tray includes a bottom plate, a pushing plate, and a shielding plate. The pushing plate is toward the shielding plate, and the shielding plate is rotatably attached to the bottom plate. A product exit is defined in the bottom plate and is covered by the shielding plate. The pushing plate pushes a product onto the shielding plate. The shielding plate rotates to allow the product to drop out of the receiving tray via the product exit.

摘要： A selectively cascadeable storage unit allows a variable number of containers to be stored and dispensed in a first-in, first-out manner. The storage unit includes a receiving area, a storage track, a dispensing area, and a selectively engageable stop. The storage track conveys containers from the receiving area to the dispensing area, where the selectively engageable stop either holds the containers or passes the containers to a cascaded storage unit. In one embodiment, multiple storage units are substantially overlapped such that containers may be selectively passed from the dispensing area of one unit to the receiving area of the connected unit. The present invention facilitates better utilization of storage facilities and simplifies inventory management of a variety of containers such as barrels, bottles, boxes, cans, cartons, casks, crates, drums, jars, kegs, packages, sacks, tins, and tubs.

摘要： An article handling apparatus embodied, for example, as a vending machine, includes a controllably positioned hose dispenser for retrieving articles from an article storage area. A hose is continuous from a first end located within a hose storage area, where the hose receives article securing energy (e.g., suction), to a second end adapted to secure to and extract a selected article from the storage area. A hose positioning mechanism coupled to the hose controllably positions the second end of the hose so as to be aligned with a given article stored in the storage area, for controllably contacting and extracting the selected article from the storage area, and controllably positioning the second end of the hose so as to transport the article to a dispensing area. The hose positioning mechanism imparts both a storage requirement and a retraction requirement on the hose as a result of the controllable positioning. In accordance with the principles of the present invention a single hose storage area is provided in the vending machine for meeting all of the hose storage and retraction requirements.
