    摘要： A system for removing moisture from a user's skin includes a casing having a first portion made of a material including hydrophilic and hydrophobic fibers configured to convey a liquid and/or vapor from outside to inside. The first portion configured to contact, or be near, a user's body part. The casing includes a second portion not configured to contact the body part, and at a third portion joining the first and second portions. The second and/or third portions are made of material configured to convey a liquid and/or vapor from inside to outside the casing. Padding, enclosed between the first and second portions, has a porous structure enabling the inside to be ventilated by vapor exiting the casing by contraction of a volume of the padding causing air to enter the casing by expansion in the volume of the padding. The porous structure has a resiliently compressible variable volume.

    摘要： A mattress comprises an upper surface and a lower surface opposite the upper surface. The mattress further includes first and second opposing side surfaces extending between the upper surface and the lower surface and third and fourth opposing side surfaces extending between the upper surface and the lower surface and between the first and second opposing side surfaces. A core section is formed by the upper and lower surfaces and first and second opposing core section side surfaces and third and fourth opposing core section side surfaces and an extension extends outwardly from a side surface of the core section. The extension is fixedly connected to or integral with the core section and the extension provides the upper surface with a greater area than the lower surface. The extension is capable of supporting a user without a support structure being positioned below the extension.

    摘要： A mattress pad positionable atop a rectangular mattress which better accommodates diverse weights and sizes of the human anatomy for enhanced comfort. The mattress pad includes a flexible bottom sheet having a size and shape substantially similar to that of a top surface of the mattress. A flexible fabric top sheet is connected to the bottom sheet by peripheral stitching along common perimeter side, head and foot margins. A plurality of generally side-by-side body supporting chambers are each defined by peripheral stitching and spaced lines of continuous stitching which interconnect the top and bottom sheets. Each chamber is filled with a loose stuffing of fibrous or synthetic material which is movable within the chamber and capable of localized accumulation within the chamber by manual body or hand manipulating pressure against the top sheet. Preselected nominal thicknesses of each of the chambers provides the comfort and accommodation to each portion of the human anatomy.

The particulate matter filler envelope, generally affixed to the top of the foam base, could be made from elastic and sheer materials to essentially contain particulate matter filler, which could be bead-shaped and made from material such as, but not limited to, oats, Latex, Viscoelastic, Polyurethane, polystyrene or other materials. The fire resistant liner envelope essentially encompasses the particulate matter filler envelope and the foam pad. The outer envelope essentially encompasses the fire resistant liner envelope.

    摘要： A mattress overlay consisting of two pieces of fabric joined along the longitudinal, or head to foot, edges and then joined transversely, from side to side, at predetermined distances along the longitudinal axis forming lateral, closed interior cell spaces. In the preferred embodiment, the joining method along at least one of the longitudinal edges uses openable and recloseable cooperating hook and loop pressure strips to allow access to the individual cells after manufacture. To provide even support throughout the resting area, the interior cell spaces are partially filled with a flowable filler material of Buckwheat hulls or a mixture of Buckwheat hulls and any other compatible material. The preferred embodiment allows resting comfort to be customized by adding or removing flowable filler from individual cell spaces as needed. The preferred embodiment has half of an openable and recloseable fastening device joined along longitudinal edge to allow attachment of two or more mattress overlays. The mattress overlay, when Buckwheat hulls are used as a filler material, resists the slippage of the human resting form when a bed is canted for medical purposes.
