Abstract: A method for the simultaneous removal of filter cake from a wellbore and fracturing of the wellbore using a mixture including a chelating agent and a thermochemical. The method including feeding a mixture into the wellbore, contacting the filter cake with the mixture, reacting the chelating agent and the thermochemical to produce heat and pressure, removing the filter cake from the wellbore, and creating microfractures in the wellbore using pressure produced from the reacting.

Abstract: Provided are methods and system for propping a fracture. An example method includes introducing a first fracturing fluid into the fracture; wherein the first fracturing fluid comprises a first amount of high crush strength proppant and a first aqueous base fluid; wherein the high crush strength proppant has a crush strength equal to or exceeding 4000 psi. The method further includes introducing a second fracturing fluid into the fracture; wherein the second fracturing fluid comprises a first amount of low crush strength proppant and a second aqueous base fluid; wherein the low crush strength proppant has a crush strength less than 4000 psi. The method also includes introducing a third fracturing fluid into the fracture; wherein the third fracturing fluid comprises a second amount of high crush strength proppant and a third aqueous base fluid.

Abstract: This invention describes and claims the stimulation of several Wolfcamp and Bone Springs targeted wells in the northern Delaware Basin using fracturing treatments and a new method employing relatively small pre-pad pill volumes of Brine Resistant Silicon Dioxide Nanoparticle Dispersions ahead of each stage of treatment have been successfully performed. The invention includes a method of extending an oil and gas system ESRV comprising the steps of adding a Brine Resistant Silicon Dioxide Nanoparticle Dispersion (“BRINE RESISTANT SDND”) to conventional oil well treatment fluids. The invention also includes a method of increasing initial production rates of an oil well by over 20.0% as compared to wells either not treated with the BRINE RESISTANT SDND technology or treated by conventional nano-emulsion surfactants. The Method focuses on the steps of adding a Brine Resistant Silicon Dioxide Nanoparticle Dispersion to conventional oil well treatment fluids.

Abstract: A treatment additive for hydraulic fracturing made of heated silica to create amorphous silicate with a Mohs hardness between 4.5 and 6 and a particles distribution with maximum diameter between 5 and 2600 microns that has been heated and shaped into amorphous shapes with large surface area to weight ratio and ultra-low settling velocity used to prop microfractures distal from well bore, especially in low viscosity and high temperature wells. The microparticle size and shape allow the treatment to effectively hold microfractures open, stimulate backpressure, and prevent leakoff; which has the added benefit of improving primary fracture development; refrac and frac protect productivity; and reduces the likelihood of interference between offset wells. An additional benefit is that the treatment doesn't contain crystalline silica.

Abstract: Proppant compositions and methods for using same are disclosed herein. In particular, a proppant composition for use in hydraulic fracturing is disclosed herein. The proppant composition can contain a plurality of particulates and at least one particulate of the plurality of particulates containing a chemical treatment agent. The at least one particulate having a long term permeability measured in accordance with ISO 13503-5 at 7,500 psi of at least about 10 D. The at least one chemical treatment agent can separate from the at least one particulate when located inside a fracture of a subterranean formation after a period of time.
