    摘要: A method of making a resilient double C-shaped clip for securing a rail on a support, wherein in advance of the heat treatment the ends adapted to cooperate with the support and with the foot of the rail are bent towards one another in the direction of the fastening force to such an extend that they are offset with respect with one another over a certain distance in relation to their position when the ready clip is free of load and wherein after the heat treatment the clip is subjected to a series of permanent deformations, each effected by imposing a permanent deformation force on one end of the clip while the other end is held in fixed position, such that upon a continued deformation there would be no increase or only a very small increase of the load, and the clip being relieved of load after each deformation.

    摘要: A stock rail fastening for switches of railway track installations in which a slide chair and spring U-clip fix one flange of a stock rail to a baseplate, and a clamp fixes the other flange of the stock rail to the baseplate. The slide chair has one side overhanging the one flange and is spaced apart from the base plate to provide a recess therebetween. The spring U-clip is within the recess under bending tension and has a loop portion bearing against the one flange, and a pair of arms extending from the loop portion and having spaced apart ends supported on notches at another side of the slide chair. The entirety of the U-clip is polygonal in cross section, the arms between the loop portion and the ends have a portion which is square in cross section, and the arms each have a side face parallel to a horizontal plane when the U-clip is tension free.

    摘要: A fastening device for fastening to a railway tie a rail comprising at least one resiliently yieldable fastening plate bearing on the flange of the rail and on the tie. The plate is provided with an aperture for the passage of plate-tightening means and has in its centre part, in the region of the aperture, a thickening defining a curved boss for bearing against the tightening means in a contact point located between a region in which the fastening bears against the tie and a region in which the fastening bears against the flange of the rail. The plate is thinned down progressively from the boss in the direction of each of the ends of the plate. The fastening pivots around the contact point as the rail vertically moves. The thickness of the plate however is constant adjacent its ends which form two thin very flexible feet. A boss may also be provided on the lower face of the plate.

    摘要: The invention relates to a rail sleeper and to a rail fastening assembly including the sleeper. The rail sleeper has a rail seat and a seating formation for a resilient rail clip adjacent the rail seat. The seating formation preferably has a flat downwardly directed seating surface. The whole of the seating formation is disposed alongside the rail seat. The assembly includes a resilient rail clip having a pair of limbs, namely an upper limb which is longer than the other or lower limb. The clip is bodily movable between a clamping position and an unclamped position. In the clamping position the lower limb engages the seating formation and the upper limb bears downwardly on the foot flange of a rail on the rail seat. In the unclamped position the upper limb is free of the foot flange.

    摘要: A rail fastening comprises a resilient U-shaped clip the base of which is supported against the sleeper with the free outer ends of the clip arms engaging the rail foot. Holding down means acting against an intermediate portion of the arms stresses the clip to clamp the rail foot. The intermediate arm portions are circularly curved in a vertical plane, and the holding down means engaging the curved portions has a complementary shape. This enables greater deflection of the clip for a given clamping pressure. The outer end portions are flattened where they engage the rail foot.

    摘要: This invention relates to rail-fastening devices for fastening rails to mounting members such as ties or sleepers and of the kind where a bow-shaped clamp is elastically tightenable to hold the rail in position, a part or parts of the clamp resting on the tie or sleeper and another part of the clamp resting on the rail in such a fashion that one part of the clamp presses on the rail foot with a long spiral spring excursion positively to press the rail permanently in a downward direction. In accordance with the invention, one or more stiffly sprung parts of the clamp project over the rail foot and this part or parts on contacting the rail foot or on contacting other parts of the clamp that presses down the rail foot in a positive manner with a long spring excursion, forms not only an elastic limitation of the tightening excursion against plastification of the clamp but also a stiffly sprung resistance to lifting and tilting movement of the rail.
