    摘要: A perpendicularity verification device is provided for verifying perpendicularity of a concrete test specimen in a testing machine. The device comprises a unitary planar sheet. The sheet has an elongate vertical straight side edge and a horizontal straight bottom edge. The side and bottom edges are perpendicular to one another. A corner notch is provided between the side and bottom edges. In use, the bottom edge rests on a platen of the testing machine so that the notch circumvents a retaining cup of the testing machine and the vertical edge rests against the test specimen.

    摘要: A device for measuring the normality of a hole in a work piece, especially in holes used in the building of aircraft. A probe fits within the hole to be measured and is fixed in the hole by contact at the upper end of the hole with a tapered portion of the probe, and at the lower end by a flared portion of the probe. An indicator assembly is connected to the probe by a bracket. The indicator assembly has an arm which contacts the surface of the work piece. The indicator assembly is rotated around the probe during use of the gage, and the arm is vertically displaceable as this rotation occurs. A dial indicator operationally connected to the arm will register any vertical displacement of the arm during its rotation, indicating any deviancy from normality of the measured hole.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an ice-skate blade edge squareness verification device comprising an indicator element with a plurality of squareness indicia on its face and a verification element removably mounted across a skate blade's edges for verification of squareness of those edges in conjunction with the squareness indicia of the indicator element. The indicator element includes a mounting means comprising a magnet for removably mounting this element onto an ice-skate's blade such that the squareness indicia are perpendicular to the blade's side. The mounting means have a configuration allowing the indicator element to be easily placed and removed from the blade while the blade is held inside a sliding carriage provided to hold an ice-skate during sharpening. The mounting means also allows for continuous visual verification of squareness of a blade edge substantially along the entire length of the blade.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for measuring the squareness of fabricated plate structures by providing a measuring table having a straight reference gauge extending squarely across the table, and a plunger-operated measuring gauge rigidly mounted on a carriage which is slidably mounted to the underside of the table so as to slide the plunger at right angles to the reference gauge, positioning the plate on the measuring table with a first edge abutting the straight reference gauge, retracting the plunger, moving the carriage which holds the measuring gauge to a position in front of a second edge of the plate, releasing the plunger slowly until it contacts the second edge, activating the measuring gauge, moving the carriage along the length of the second edge and holding the plunger in constant and continuous contact with the second edge to measure deviations from squareness between the first and second edges with the measuring gauge, moving the carriage and gauge with plunger mounted thereon clear of the plate, and repeating the above steps as needed to determine the squareness of other plate edges.
