Abstract: A light fixture includes a housing that defines a first cavity. Further, the light fixture includes a light module that is disposed in the first cavity and is configured to emit light in a first direction. Furthermore, the light fixture includes a light redistribution apparatus that is coupled to the housing and is disposed in the first cavity to receive the light from the light module. The light redistribution apparatus includes an outer collar comprising a body that defines a second cavity. Further, the light redistribution apparatus includes a plurality of redirection segments that are disposed within the outer collar and across at least a portion of the second cavity such that they redirect a portion of the light that is emitted in the first direction towards a second direction and allow a remainder portion of the light to travel unobstructed towards the first direction.

Abstract: A light source is combined with an optic and a reflector. Light incident onto to the reflector is reflected with a single reflection. The reflector occupies a portion of a solid angle around the light source to the exclusion of the optic at least with respect to any optical function. The reflector directly receives a second portion of light. The optic occupies substantially all of the remaining portion of the predetermined solid angle to directly receive a first portion of light from the light source. A reflected beam from the reflector is reflected into a predetermined reflection pattern. The inner and/or outer surface of the optic is shaped to refract or direct light which is directly transmitted into the optic from the light source from a first portion of light and/or reflected into the optic from the reflector from the reflected beam into a predetermined beam.

Abstract: A outdoor lighting fixture includes an enclosure, a heatsink, and an end-cap. The enclosure includes a cabinet and a cover that enclose control and power circuitry to provide power to illuminate a light source. The cabinet further includes an attachment face, and the extruded heatsink can be coupled to the attachment face. The extruded heatsink includes sides, a discontinuous plane of material formed with sides of the heatsink to provide a recessed mounting tray, and heat-conducting fins extending from the plane of material. The light source, which can include an LED light source, is coupled to the heatsink. The extruded heatsink can be coupled at one end to the attachment face of the cabinet at a position such that a space remains between the plane of material and a bottom edge of the attachment face, to permit water to drain from between the heat-conducting fins of the extruded heatsink.

Abstract: A mounting assembly includes a mounting plate that has a central aperture and a plurality of elongated slots disposed on opposite sides of the central aperture. The plurality of elongated slots are configured to flexibly mount a light fixture to junction boxes or recessed cans of different sizes. Further, the mounting assembly includes one or more torsion spring brackets to mount the light fixture in recessed cans. Once the light fixture is mounted to a junction box or a recessed can, the mounting plate allows the light fixture to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise along one or more of the plurality of elongated slots. Furthermore, the mounting assembly includes spring clip brackets and mousetrap like spring clips to surface mount the light fixture.
