Abstract: A graphical user interface provides visualization of operation tasks for a well ordered in a sequence. The graphical user interface shows different types of timing for the operation tasks, such as planned timing, estimated timing, and actual timing for the operation tasks. Different types of timing are arranged in a hierarchy so that setting one type of timing for an operation task overrides another type of timing for the operation task. Changes to timing of an operation task are automatically propagated to other operation tasks.

Abstract: An above ground pipe is installed at a location to transport fluid for one or more operations. A fiber optic cable is laid on the above ground pipe and temporarily attached to the above ground pipe. The fiber optic cable is laid on the above ground pipe with a sinusoidal curvature to increase contact between the fiber optic cable and the above ground pipe. Leaks along the above ground pipe are detected using measurements from the fiber optic cable. The fiber optic cable is removed from the above ground pipe for re-use at a different location.

Abstract: Downhole equipment in a well includes an acoustic feature that emits an acoustic signal providing an indication of the operation of the downhole equipment. The downhole equipment is placed, above, below, or around a tubing string, or elsewhere in the well. The downhole equipment can include a flow control valve, a housing assembly, a sand screen assembly, or a base pipe. The acoustic feature can be a protrusion and notch that engage and generate the acoustic signal. Alternatively, a moving component such as a turbine can be included in the downhole equipment and can generate the acoustic signal when the component moves. Alternatively, the acoustic feature can be any means that emits a unique acoustic signal.

Abstract: Pressure of fluid inside a pipeline are measured at one or more locations along the pipeline. Rates of pressure changes at the location(s) along the pipeline are determined using pressure measurements, moving average of the pressure measurements, and sampling intervals for the pressure measurements. Pressure change rate cumulative distribution function(s) are generated for the location(s) along the pipeline. The pressure change rate cumulative distribution function(s) are used to convert a rate of pressure change to a probability of a leak along the pipeline. The probabilities of leaks along the pipeline are used to monitor the pipeline for leaks.

Abstract: A method is described for generating multispectral variance volumes from seismic data. The method may include receiving, at a computer processor, a seismic image; analyzing the seismic image to determine frequency content and vertical seismic resolution; performing structural oriented filtering to generate a filtered seismic volume; performing spectral enhancement of the filtered seismic volume using the determined frequency content and vertical seismic resolution to generate a plurality of frequency-dependent seismic volumes; calculating covariance of the frequency-dependent seismic volumes to generate a plurality of covariance matrices; combining the covariance matrices to create a multispectral variance volume. The method is executed by a computer system.
