Abstract:
A hinge device for rotatably moving a closing element includes a fixed element anchorable to a stationary support structure coupled to a movable element anchorable to the closing element for rotating around a first longitudinal axis between an open position and a closed position. The device further includes at least one slider movable along a second axis between a compressed and an extended position. One between the movable element and the fixed element includes at least one operating chamber defining the second axis so as to slidably house the slider, the other element including a pivot defining the first axis. The pivot and the slider are reciprocally coupled so that to the rotation of the movable element around the first axis corresponds the sliding of the slider along the second axis and vice versa.
Abstract:
A hold open rod is provided. The hold open rod includes an outer tube, a lock body connected to the outer tube, an inner tube, slidingly disposed within the outer tube and lock body, the inner tube having an outer surface, and a friction pad captured between the lock body and the outer surface of the inner tube. A method for damping movement of a telescoping rod is also provided. The method includes attaching the locking body to an outer tube, configuring the outer tube and the inner tube to move with respect to each other in a telescoping manner, fitting a damper between an outer diameter of an inner tube and a locking body, and fitting the damper to frictionally engage the outer diameter of the inner tube and the locking body.
Abstract:
A hinge assembly is provided for attaching a door to a domestic appliance. The hinge assembly includes a hinge body; a damper; a foot pivotably attached to the damper and having a pivot end, the foot engaging a foot receiving portion of the appliance such that the hinge body and the door pivot relative to the appliance; and a shoulder bushing attached to the pivot end of the foot and to a pivot point of the hinge body such that the foot pivots relative to the hinge body around the pivot point, the shoulder bushing having a large diameter portion and a small diameter portion. The pivot end of the foot is fixed to the shoulder bushing at a fixing area of the small diameter portion such that a side surface of the pivot end of the foot is in contact with a side surface of the large diameter portion.
Abstract:
A hinge assembly includes a housing, an arm and at least one spring. A damping device includes a damper having a piston rod, a maintaining member secured in the housing and an adjustment member. The adjustment member is movably connected to the maintaining member and has a protruded portion located corresponding to the piston rod of the damper. When the adjustment member is moved to a first position relative to the maintaining member, the protruded portion of the adjustment member is located toward the piston rod of the damper, so that the piston rod contacts the protruded portion and retracts to perform damping function. When the adjustment member is moved to a second position relative to the maintaining member, the protruded portion of the adjustment member is moved away from the piston rod of the damper, and no damping function is available.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a furniture hinge (100), comprising at least one control cam (3, 13) and at least one spring (2, 12), wherein the control cam (3, 13) moves along on the spring (2, 12) in order to produce a closing force and/or opening force, wherein a sliding element (1, 11, 21, 31) is attached to the spring (2, 12) and/or to the control cam (3, 13). The control cam (3, 13) or the spring (2, 12) moves along on the sliding element.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a furniture damper for damping a movement of a movably mounted part of a piece of furniture or a movably mounted component of a furniture fitting, comprising a piston arranged in a fluid chamber, a damping action being carried out by a relative movement between the fluid chamber and the piston, in addition to a sealing device for sealing the fluid chamber, said sealing device comprising a first abutment element and a second abutment element that is movably mounted in relation to the first abutment element and designed to seal the fluid chamber. A spring is arranged between the first abutment element and the second abutment element, said spring being compressible by the relative movement of the first abutment element and the second abutment element essentially up to the thickness of the cross-section of the spring.
Abstract:
Damping movement device of pieces of furniture which are movable relative to stationary parts. The device has a cylinder with a piston movable in a longitudinal direction, forming a modifiable working chamber filled with liquid medium. The liquid medium is transferred in a throttled manner. A piston rod is sealingly guided and connected to one side of the piston. The movement of the parts of furniture which is to be damped is transmitted to the piston via the outer end of the piston rod facing away from the piston. A volume compensating mechanism is provided. The piston rod is coupled to the piston with overflow ports. The non-return disk with overflow port is moved into sealing contact with the facing piston face. A spring biasing the facing faces of the non-return disk and the piston into the spaced-apart position is arranged between the non-return disk and the piston.
Abstract:
A sliding door apparatus for opening and closing an opening in a wall. A sliding door apparatus including a longitudinally extending track member mountable along an upper edge of an opening and a door movably mountable on the track member for sliding movement thereon between opened and closed positions. A damping structure is disposed within the track member and is actuatable in response to the sliding movement of the door to break the door's movement as it approaches its opened and closed positions.
Abstract:
An end-stop damper including a damper body in the form of a cylinder, wherein a piston is guided so that it is displaceable in the cylinder receiving chamber. An air pressure is formed in the receiving chamber produces a braking force acting on the piston during its displacement. The receiving chamber includes at least one pressure reducing opening and the piston includes a bellows section which is actively connected to the cylinder according to pressure conditions in the receiving chamber. This invention substantially simplifies the structural design of the end-stop damper because the piston and the bellows section are connected to each other so that they are formed in one piece.
