Abstract: A method is performed by a set of one or more servers and includes receiving, from a first user equipment (UE) to be activated with a cellular carrier for a user, and at the set of one or more servers, information identifying a second UE of the user and authentication information for authenticating the user with the cellular carrier. The method further includes authenticating the user using the authentication information; transmitting a password to the second UE at least partly in response to authenticating the user; receiving, from the first UE and at the set of one or more servers, the password; validating the password received from the first UE; and initiating a transfer of an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) subscription, from the second UE to the first UE, at least partly in response to validating the password.

Abstract: A wireless communication device may wirelessly control an object, such as a physical device, directly or through interaction with a virtual representation (or placeholder) of the object situated at a predefined physical location. In particular, the wireless communication device may identify an intent gesture performed by a user that indicates intent to control the object. For example, the intent gesture may involve pointing or orienting the wireless communication device toward the object, with or without additional input. Then, the wireless communication device may determine the object associated with the intent gesture using wireless ranging and/or device orientation. Moreover, the wireless communication device may interpret sensor data from one or more sensors associated with the wireless communication device to determine an action gesture corresponding to a command or a command value. The wireless communication device may then transmit the command value to control the object.

Abstract: A device implementing a system for multipath connection management may include first and second local communication interfaces, and a processor configured to establish a primary connection for communicating between the first local communication interface and a first remote communication interface of an other device, and a secondary connection for communicating between the second local communication interface and a second remote communication interface. The processor may be configured to transmit application and control data over the primary connection and concurrently transmit a copy of control data over the secondary connection. The processor may be configured to determine that a degradation of the quality of the primary connection is attributable to the other device. The processor may be configured to switch the secondary connection to the first local communication interface and the second remote communication interface. The processor may be configured to transmit a copy of the application and control data over the secondary connection.

Abstract: Techniques, described herein, include solutions for managing hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes and communications for non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) (e.g., a wireless communication network that includes a satellite network component). A user equipment (UE) may connect to an NTN and determine hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) capabilities regarding NTNs. The UE may also communicate a HARQ disablement message to the NTN and communicate with NTN without HARQ procedures. The HARQ disablement message may provide the HARQ disablement capabilities of the UE and/or be a request for the network to disable HARQ. The HARQ disablement message may include a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message and may address HARQ disablement per logical channel identifier (LCID) or dedicated radio bearer (DRB).
