Abstract: An image encoding/decoding method and apparatus for performing template matching-based intra prediction are provided. An image decoding method may comprise deriving a first intra-prediction mode for a current block, generating a first intra-prediction block corresponding to the first intra-prediction mode, deriving a second intra-prediction mode for the current block, generating a second intra-prediction block corresponding to the second intra-prediction mode, and generating a final intra-prediction block by using a weighted sum of the first intra-prediction block and the second intra-prediction block.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for encoding/decoding a video. To this end, the method for decoding a video may include: deriving a spatial merge candidate from at least one of spatial candidate blocks of a current block, deriving a temporal merge candidate from a co-located block of the current block, and generating a prediction block of the current block based on at least one of the derived spatial merge candidate and the derived temporal merge candidate, wherein a reference picture for the temporal merge candidate is selected based on a reference picture list of a current picture including the current block and a reference picture list of a co-located picture including the co-located block.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for setting a reference picture index of a temporal merging candidate. An inter-picture prediction method using a temporal merging candidate can include the steps of: determining a reference picture index for a current block; and inducing a temporal merging candidate block of the current block and calculating a temporal merging candidate from the temporal merging candidate block, wherein the reference picture index of the temporal merging candidate can be calculated regardless of whether a block other than the current block is decoded. Accordingly, a video processing speed can be increased and video processing complexity can be reduced.
