Abstract:
An aluminum chlorohydrate salt having a Peak 3:Peak 4 ratio of at least 10:1 and an amount of Peak 3 material relative based on a total of Peaks 2, 3, 4, and 5 is at least 80% as measured by size exclusion chromatography, together with water treatment compositions, antiperspirant compositions, and oral care compositions, comprising the same, and methods for making and using the same.
Abstract:
Dentifrice dispenser (1), comprising: an elongate container (10) defining a chamber (14) storing a dentifrice and having an opening (16) through which the dentifrice is dispensable from the chamber (14); a pump for pumping the dentifrice from the chamber (14) to an exterior of the container (10) through the opening (16); and an elongate handle (20) movably attached to the container (10) to operate the pump; wherein a longitudinal axis of the elongate handle (20) is at an angle of between 0 and 60 degrees to a longitudinal axis of the container (10) when the elongate handle (20) is at a rest position. Kit comprising the dentifrice dispenser (1) and a mount for attaching a toothbrush to the dentifrice dispenser (1).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a deodorant dispenser refill cartridge, comprising: a container defining a chamber storing a fluid deodorant composition and having an opening through which the composition is dispensable from the chamber; and a seal sealing the opening. Also disclosed is a deodorant dispenser, comprising: a body having a cavity for receiving a first portion of the refill cartridge; a device within the cavity and extending along at least a portion of an edge region of the cavity for puncturing the seal of the refill cartridge as the first portion of the refill cartridge is received in the cavity of the body; and an applicator for applying the fluid deodorant composition to a user at an exterior of the dispenser.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for mixing an oral care formulation base with one or more oral care additives in-situ. In one aspect, the invention can be a method of making an oral care formulation for consumer use, the method comprising: a) providing a first dose of an oral care formulation base to an oral cavity of a test subject; b) dispensing one or more oral care additives to the oral cavity in accordance with a first dispensing regimen during the performance of step a), the one or more oral care additives mixing with the first dose of the oral care formulation base in-situ within the oral cavity of the test subject; c) obtaining feedback regarding effects experienced by the test subject during the performance of step b); and d) creating the oral care formulation for consumer use based, at least in part, on the feedback of step c).
Abstract:
An oral care implement having a handle and a head. The head may include a support structure formed of a rigid material and a monolithic cleaning block formed of a thermoplastic elastomer. The support structure may have a front surface and a recess formed therein, the recess extending partially through the support structure and terminating in a floor. The monolithic cleaning block may include an anchor portion disposed within the recess of the support structure, a base portion having a bottom surface overlying at least a portion of the front surface of the support structure, and a plurality of cleaning elements extending from a top surface of the base portion.
Abstract:
Oral care compositions containing a stannous salt and sodium tripolyphosphate are provided where stannous tripolyphosphate ionic intermediates comprise less than about 1% of the compositions. Tetrasodium pyrophosphate, a methylvinyl ether-maleic anhydride copolymer and/or a silica oral polishing agent may be added for further efficacy. In a single phase blend, the oral care composition may be effectively limited to comprise less than about 10% water. In a dual-phase blend, a mixture having the stannous salt in a first phase and the sodium tripolyphosphate in a second phase may be generated from a dual chamber storage tube (with each phase provided from a separate chamber) immediately prior to dental care usage.
