Abstract: A method of treating teeth includes applying a semisolid oral dispersion to at least one tooth. The semisolid oral dispersion includes a hydrophilic discontinuous phase comprising bleaching agent particles and a hydrophobic continuous phase comprising petrolatum. The method further includes maintaining the semisolid oral dispersion on the at least one tooth for a first period of time, and, after the first period of time, directing a light radiation toward the at least one tooth for a second period of time, the first period of time having a duration greater than 50% of a total duration of the first period of time and the second period of time.

Abstract: Topical formulations of L-ascorbic acid dissolved in a combination of a urea agent and a non-aqueous skin-compatible solvent are provided. The formulations are storage stable for an extended period of time without significant degradation of the L-ascorbic acid in the composition, are have desirable physical properties. The topical formulations can include high concentrations of the L-ascorbic acid. Topical compositions of this disclosure find use in treating or preventing a variety of cosmetic and/or dermatological conditions as well as to reduce the appearance of chronological and/or environmentally-caused skin aging.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to hair styling compositions that exhibit non-Newtonian shear thinning behavior during use. The hair styling composition include: (a) one or more fatty amides, fatty alkanolamides, and/or alkoxylated fatty amides; (b) one or more non-hydroxy substituted fatty acids; (c) one or more hydroxy substituted fatty acids; (d) at least 70 wt. % of one or more low-polar oils; and less than 2 wt. % of water. Abstract: Semisolid oral dispersions for whitening teeth comprising a hydrophilic discontinuous phase and a hydrophobic continuous phase. The semisolid oral dispersions include a hydrophilic discontinuous phase comprising bleaching agent particles. The semisolid oral dispersions also include a hydrophobic continuous phase comprising petrolatum. The h bleaching agent particles can include peroxide compounds and/or hydrogen peroxide adducts. The bleaching agent particle can have a solubility in water of at least about 20 parts, by weight of the particles, in about 100 parts, by weight, of water.
