    Abstract: [Problem] To prevent sound leakage through gaps between the wearing surface side of ear pads and areas around the ears when headphones are worn and used by a user. [Solution] For headphones that have ear pads which are attached to the surfaces of housing sections, each having a built-in speaker driver for outputting an audio signal as sound, which come in contact with the ears of a listener, convex sections in the form of gradually curved surfaces are provided in the wearing surface regions of the ear pads that come in contact with an upper anterior side of the head of the listener and a lower posterior side of the head of the listener, whereby the ear pads are shaped to fit well to the areas around the ears of the user without forming any gaps when the ear pads are worn.

[Solution] A wireless terminal 3 is disposed at a listening point of a multi-channel audio device 1. The multi-channel audio device 1 plays a multi-channel audio signal as audio playback signals of a plurality of channels, and outputs an audio playback signal for each channel from the corresponding speaker 2, and the wireless terminal 3 collects the environmental sound at the listening point, and transmits the sound collection signal to the multi-channel audio device 1. The multi-channel audio device 1 identifies, as a noise component, the difference between the sound collection signal received from the wireless terminal 3 and the audio playback signals of the plurality of channels output from the plurality of speakers, generates a noise canceling signal with the opposite phase to the noise component, and outputs the noise canceling signal from any speaker 2.

    Abstract: A speech to text system includes a text and labels module receiving a text input and providing a text analysis and a label with a phonetic description of the text. A label buffer receives the label from the text and labels module. A parameter generation module accesses the label from the label buffer and generates a speech generation parameter. A parameter buffer receives the parameter from the parameter generation module. An audio generation module receives the text input, the label, and/or the parameter and generates a plurality of audio samples, A scheduler monitors and schedules the text and label module, the parameter generation module, and/or the audio generation module. The parameter generation module is further configured to initialize a voice identifier with a Voice Style Sheet (VSS) parameter, receive an input indicating a modification to the VSS parameter, and modify the VSS parameter according to the modification.

The wireless speaker comprises: an LED 12; an LED control unit 18 that subjects the LED 12 to PWM control; and a lighting pattern storage unit 17 that stores a lighting pattern in which the brightness is changed on a time axis for each state of a voice recognition process. The LED control unit 18 subjects the LED 12 to PWM control in accordance with the lighting pattern stored in the lighting pattern storage unit 17 corresponding to the state of the voice recognition process performed on the voice input into the microphone 11.

Then, a main control unit (9) determines a fault based on the information acquired through an audio-visual signal input interface unit (3) and an audio-visual signal output interface unit (4), and executes the solution support program for handling the determined fault.

    Abstract: A media rendering system includes a media rendering device and a controller device in communication via a network. The controller has a touch screen, presenting a portrait display mode when oriented in a first position, and a landscape display mode when oriented in a second position.     Abstract: A sound bar is provided which includes a generally elongate rectangular structure, with one angled output face having a plurality of speakers disposed therein, to thereby provide enhanced audio output.     Abstract: To reduce deviation in reproduction timings among a plurality of wireless speakers in a case where audio data about the same piece of music is reproduced by use of the wireless speakers. [Solution] In a wireless audio system 1, audio data about the same piece of music is reproduced while any one of a plurality of wireless speakers 2-1 to 2-3 serves as a master and the remaining speakers serve as slaves. The master downloads the audio data about the piece of music from a media server 5, wirelessly transmits the downloaded audio data to the slaves, and reproduces and outputs the audio data. The slaves receive the audio data wirelessly transmitted from the master, and reproduce and output the audio data. Here, the master reproduces the audio data downloaded from the media server 5 after buffering the audio data for a prescribed time, and thereby, makes a start timing of reproducing the audio data coincident with start timings of reproducing the audio data in the slaves.

    Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for providing dual control functionality in a networked digital media device. In overview, a networked digital media device advertises a standard digital media device, which is discoverable and controllable by a standard control device in accordance with a standard media control protocol (also referred to as a Device Control Protocol, or DCP). The networked digital media device also advertises a non-standard digital media playback device, the non-standard device being discoverable and controllable by a non-standard control device in accordance with a non-standard media control protocol. These two devices are manifested in the same device hardware, essentially allowing the device to implement dual-control such that it is able to be controlled both as a standard device and a non-standard device.
