Abstract:
In an embodiment, buffer constructs may be generated to be associated with any one of multiple mutually exclusive states, including an open state and a closed state. When the buffer construct is in the closed state, the region of memory represented by the buffer construct is made accessible to one or more direct memory access (DMA) operations. Upon completion of the one or more DMA operations, the buffer construct transitions from the closed state to the open state. The region of memory represented by the buffer construct is made accessible for use with one or more cache operations when the buffer construct is in the open state, so that the one or more cache operations are not in conflict with the one or more DMA operations.

Use of an adsorbent and a sealed package (e.g. an overwrap) to protect a pharmaceutical product in a solid state in the presence of a reducing sugar.
Abstract:
A topcoat is applied to a surface of a golf ball using a carrier fluid comprising nitrogen gas or nitrogen-enriched air. The carrier fluid typically has air enriched to about 90-99.5% nitrogen. A mixture of carrier fluid and coating material may be sprayed onto the exterior of the golf ball. Nitrogen-enriched air delivery provides a number of benefits over compressed air delivery, such as reduced coating thickness, reduced variance in the coating thickness and average thickness, reduced pooling in dimple center, edge ratio closer to 1.0, faster cure times, reduced viscosity, less material usage, reduced material flow rate, reduced atomization air pressure, and decreased drying time.
Abstract:
A fluid-filled bladder for an article of footwear is disclosed that includes a sealed outer barrier and a tensile member. The barrier is substantially impermeable to a fluid contained by the bladder, and the tensile member is located within the barrier and bonded to opposite sides of the barrier. The tensile member defines a flexion area that promotes flexing of a first portion of the bladder with respect to a second portion of the bladder. The flexion area is an area where the tensile member is absent, and the flexion area may have the configuration of a space, aperture, or indentation, for example.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method, system, and program for providing access to spatial data. A request for data is received. Enterprise and third party data are integrated. The integrated data is processed. Spatially referenced results are generated using the processed data. The spatially referenced results are returned in response to the request.
Abstract:
A digital computer system automatically creates an Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) that potentially exploits VLIW instructions, vector operations, fused operations, and specialized operations with the goal of increasing the performance of a set of applications while keeping hardware cost below a designer specified limit, or with the goal of minimizing hardware cost given a required level of performance.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a fluid-filled bladder and a method for making for making a fluid-filled bladder that include a core having at least one fusing filament. A portion of the fusing filament is positioned adjacent to the exterior surface of the core such that it engages and fuses to barrier layers of the bladder, thereby securing the core to the barrier layers without the need for an additional fusing agent therebetween.
Abstract:
A method and system for acquiring an optical target affixed to a surface of a package with an optical scanning device. Height information associated with the height of the surface of the package is sensed and a height signal representative of a scanning distance between the optical target and the optical scanning device is generated. The package surface is scanned with the optical scanning device to generate an optical target input signal. The optical target input signal is converted in accordance with a first sampling frequency to provide a converted input signal, and a second resampling frequency is adjusted in accordance with the height signal. The converted input signal is reconverted in accordance with the second resampling frequency to generate a frequency shifted optical target signal, and the optical target on the surface of the package is acquired in accordance with the frequency shifted optical target signal.
Abstract:
A computer network-implemented method for displaying a tag cloud representing a data structure. The data structure includes data entities and representations of relationships between the data entities. The method enables one or more users to interact with the data structure, and via the data structure, to interact with one another. In an example embodiment, the method comprises, via a computer processor, populating a display of a user interface showing a tag cloud populated with images of data entities from the data structure, such images, and in response to user input to the interface, associating one or more visual properties of the user interface with one or more of said relationships between data entities in the data structure.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are techniques to execute tasks with a computing device. A first task is initiated to perform an operation of the first task. A buffer construct that represents a region of memory accessible to the operation of the first task is created. A second task is initiated to perform of an operation of the second task that is configured to be timed to initiate in response to the buffer construct being communicated to the second task from the first task.
